So what does everybody think of Dan Abrams & Rachel Sklar's latest venture, Mediaite.com? There was quite a bit of hubbub with regard to possible conflict of interest, since Mr. Abrams is also the CEO of his own media strategy firm, but I don't think it's a coincidence that most of the whining was coming from Gawker.com, because Mediaite is serious competition for them and I don't think they're too thrilled about it. I have to say, it's impressed me so far. People have had concerns that it will go easy on the NBC News umbrella since Dan Abrams still works for them, but I suppose that remains to be seen...another interesting aspect is that their first batch of sponsorship money came from HBO, which shares a parent company--Time Warner--with CNN. The plot thickens. :P Thoughts?
