I visited Kerala in India. It's known as God's own country...

"God's Own Country"? Aren't ALL countries God's countries? Hmmm. I don't know if I like that. lol. The prettiest place I've visited was Canada. I drove with my friend to the border of Canada and it was just gorgeous. It took us about 2 hours from where we were staying to get there, but it was sooo worth it. We stopped at so many different scenic bypasses and overlooks - and it was just gorgeous. I wish I could just go back there..And live there or something!

Yes, I think all the world should be considered God's own country if you are religious in that sense. Only thing I can think of as maybe a little more his own country is the ancient land of Israel or the lost Garden of Eden.

To me the place you can say as "God's own country" is some place that God has created.. Full of forests, waterfalls, backwaters, houseboats, not much crowded with awesome weather.. Natural waterfalls and backwaters makes it a must place to visit

I have visited Sydney in Australia and it is my favorite city. It has the white sails that are an opera house and a stunning looking gray harbor bridge. I love its beaches that stretch north and south from the harbor. The best place that I have ever visited is Samoa, a collection of islands in the Pacific Ocean. It has white sandy beaches, green rain forest, exciting blow holes and pristine water falls. The local people are friendly, the prices are reasonable and the landscape is unspoilt.
