Do you have the angel food ministries program where you live?

We have it here. I purchased a signature box from them for this month. It says the signature box is a variety along with balanced nutrition. It's enough to feed a family of four for a week. They also have senior and convenience meals and a frozen meat and dry mix allergen free box, and specials where you can get an assorted grill box, assorted steak and chicken combo, a chicken box, and fruit and veggie box. The signature box is only $30 which is a good deal. The reason I did it this month is because money is kinda tight right now. But it says angel food makes it easy to purchase high quality affordable food for less than 50% of the retail cost. There are no qualifications or restrictions---anyone can participate. I ordered our box online and then went to a nearby church to pick it up. I'm thinking of ordering a box for next month too. In next month's box you will get: Ribeye steaks, split chicken breast, chicken thighs, pork chops, ground beef, Turkey burgers, Deli ham, frozen sweet potatoes, frozen green beans, pears, orange juice concentrate, fresh idaho potatoes, fresh onions, 2% milk, dozen eggs, and a dessert. So have you ever heard of angel food before and have you ever ordered it before?

I have access to Angel Food from my hometown and the town I currently reside. My grandparents have ordered from them before and I have eaten the food they've ordered and I've seen the conveinence line of food and it's really not so bad. You really do get your moneies worth. There is no way you could go to a store and spend $30 and recieve that amount of food. It's just not possible.

That's true. There is no way to get all that at our regular grocery store where I live and only spend $30. It would be a lot more than $30.

We did have one here, I don't know if we still do b/c I haven't bought from them in ages. We bought from them a couple of times but most of it was stuff we wouldn't have boughten and couldn't really use so we quit buying from them. It's actually cheaper for me to just buy what we use. I have heard that we have that here but I haven't ordered anything. I would like to know when it's available and where we can get it. I think we could all use the chance to save a little money on groceries.
