Our enemy is allowed to cheat, we're forced to lose

In September of 2001 the enemy did severe harm to us. Times changed. We were forced to defend ourselves in a manner we we did not want. Many people believe we should just sit back with our arms tied behind our back while the enemy is not following any international laws and not being brought up on war crimes? And now our Justice Department is trying to criminalize some of our defense and offense tactics? Will someone please tell me how there is any hope of remaining a free country with so many cheaters? See http://www.weeklystandard.com - The So-Called Cheney Documents of August 25th.

If you will notice, any time that this administration is criticized the automatic answer is that Bush did it or that it's the mess that Bush created. At what point does the mess actually belong to Obama? The entire tactic is distraction from the issues and policies at hand. This probe into "war crimes" is just another planned strategy to put the focus back on Bush and keep it off of Obama. Even though members of Congress were complicit by agreement to all of these defensive, offensive and interrogation tactics, they will pursue this while denying their involvement. The entire purpose is to deflect the focus from what this administration is doing to the prior administration's alleged wrongdoings. Obama is working towards the entire collapse of the American system. Whenever there is a focus on any particular program he is pushing, the people start to get vocal. It is time to keep the news media busy reporting on something else, something that will take the focus off of Obama.

When stupid politics reduces our ability to keep our country safe, it's time for the citizens to vote all the bums out. How likely is that?

It's likely that the 2010 elections will shift the party power in Congress but we really shouldn't hope that happens. If a congress comes in that is Republican-dominated, then Obama will be seen to be struggling to get things done but can't because the Congress is unwilling. In some ways it would be better if he continues to have this useless and traitorous set of congressmen and Senators to back him up as the people revolt against his policies. That at least, would guarantee that in 2012 the people will not forgive what he has done to them. It's impossible to imagine, but I believe it is true that there are politicians who would sell their souls and sell our security if it meant keeping their positions.

Wow. Well, the people may already be starting to revolt if you follow the townhalls. I'm not sure the nation can stand four years of fighting.

Our security was compromised by the people who lied to get rich quick, Osama Bin Laden saw the flaw in our economic security and hit us right where we were wrong. The fact that our accountants were not accountable lead our leaders to be unaccountable and as a result our security remains compromised from with in. We have trolls that would love to crush the heads of the poor killing the most vulnerable all around the world. Who is safe when crime is left unfettered? We are moving into a new era, one of global accountability. Our future is about to open up for us... There will be many changes, and there is much work to be done.

In another forum I had written who needs a president, insert dictator for president and you will then see that democracy can be just as destructive to the global free market as it fosters greed and corruption. Communism has been wrought with dictator regimes because the socialistic values were not held true, the wealth like our free market system is transferred to a few in control like dictators of our world. The right path would be a socialistic approach more Utopian than Restrictive, Freedom made truly available by sharing the truth and exposing the lies.

As you know, my views differ on security of our country. I'm not sure globalization is the way we need to go. It would be different if there were not so much corruption in the 'world.' Global accountability? I think that's closer to a joke. The man would wanted to be dictator in Honduras, Zelayas, was kicked out by that country's legislative body for illegally attempting to change the 'constitution.' Instead of the 'global accountability' to defend that country's legislative body, the UN says nothing much, and OUR country has decided to give the dictator a break by restricting relief aid to Honduras (previously given to the dictator) Dictators should be held accountable and many of them are not.
