In our country, the government has a policy that one family could only have one child, if you have more than one child, you will be given a fine or some other punishment. What about your country? Have a nice day!

lol Hello China, India here hehe. We in India often carry the slogan of "Hum do Hamare do" that means "we are two and we should have two". Meaning 2 kids per family but seriously i don't know there is any punishment or not? I don't think there is a punishment if one has more than two kids. But i think China has come up with a rule over this thing?

Hi, you are not unaware of fact that India stands second after China in population growth and India itself holds the entire population of Europe. WE TWO AND OUR TWOis the popular slogan but no strict laws have been passed as yet to control the population growth but it is decreasing anyway.

So it's like National Family Planning. Anyway, I just wonder, if you already have one, and suddelny, unexpectedly you are pregnant, what are you going to do with the pregnancy? I mean isn't it make the abortion rate going higher? You mention something about fine and other punishment. What's the other form of punishment you might get?

Hi colydf, I have the most fascinating book written by a chinese woman who moved to America and actually worked in the field of forced sterilisations in China so know how barbaric this custom can be. Here there is no limit but the numbers have dropped and now it is rare to see a Greek family with more than one or two children, whereas five used to be the normal thing. But the Albanian immigrants who come here are having child after child so that soon the number of Albanian children will out number the number of Greek children which could prove a problem in the school system.

We in India, which is the 2nd most populous country in the world, does not have a legally made child limit, However the government had initiated a family planning where in we are advised to have only 2 child per family. There are many who never cares about it.

No, we don't have any children limit here in Brazil. And I don't know if that's a bad idea. I mean, we have a large country. Space is not an issue, but money is. The states where people have many children are always the poor ones. The people at rich cities usually don't have more than 2 children per couple. But in poor states, it's commom to have families of 7, 8 children, when they don't have enough money not even to half of them.

Hi colydf, There is no limit on the amount of children you can give birth to in our country (USA). I have a friend who has 15 children and another with 12, I don't know how they handled it. We had 3 sons, they are all grown now and doing well. Though there is no limit here, I can understand the situation in your country and I wouldn't judge it.

I understand from your country that it is punishable by law if you would have more than one child. It is a must because your population is alarming from all other countries in the world. Besides it is true that how could the parent fulfill their responsibilities if their income could not cope up the needs of their children if they would have lots of children to feed? I am talking of less fortunate families and yet plenty of children...Once child policy is a must... Cheers

Here in Malaysia, you can have a very big family, no problem as long as you can support them. The government never issue the limit number of the child per family. Some even have more than 10 children. I think they encourage more kids. I often read about some country have number of child limit, it's lucky we doesn't have to go through that.

When I read your headline I thought this was a joke. When I read your responses I said ok this is serious. I just don't understand how a government of any country can tell anyone how much children they could have. Where I live there is no restriction on how many kids you have. If you can feed your own children no one has the right to tell you how many to have. I can however see the situation in some people. People take children for granted. They have children and just abuse them or give them away like a toy. There are alot of people who cannot have children. I believe children are a blessing. If you can have and take care of them. Cherish them. Happy lotting.

Holy crap, you actually get PUNISHED if you have more than 1 child there??!! Wow that is just outrageous! I heard that even having baby girls is considered bad or evil or something, which is sick too! I live in the United States, and you can have as many babies as you want lol. Thank goodness for that.
