o.k. doctors leave the room for you to change, but why if they are still going to see you naked.

From my own experience in working in the medical field, I know that the reason that doctors and nurses leave the room while a patient is changing is out of respect for the patients. There are many people that feel like their privacy is invaded enough by having to visit the doctor. Therefore, it is the best thing that a medical profession can do to leave the room while the patient is changing so that they are able to maintain the most dignity possible.

I think it is to give the patient some privacy so so patient wouldn't feel so uncomfortable. During the check up, the doctor might see some flesh but the doctor shouldn't be looking as you naked when she/he is not checking your health. I feel more comfortable changing when there is no stranger in the room even if the stranger is my doctor
