Should India play cricket? or go for our national game?

Our national game is Hockey. But cricket is the most favourite game in our country

There are so many different kinds of hockey and I have watched a few games of that on television before but I have never seen a cricket game. There is much to be said, though for keeping up with traditions and it would seem that hockey should be preserved. I don't think cricket players should get all the attention and the hockey player be neglected, so I will vote for hockey!

Drannhh Hockey is the National game, but the point is not about National game, actually cricket is bring the whole country into a doll-drum,while there are pestering issues which are to be sorted out. Thanks.

Its very true that cricket generates money(but where does this money goes?,who are the actual beneficiary)what the outcome for India,does it make you happy/feel proud off, when India is nowhere the medals tally at every Olympic game.....,what physical and mental efforts these cricketers are putting in when compared to the other games say for eg football,badminton hokey,gymnastic or any other sports!.cricket is nothing but earning enormous money into the few countable people or entity. Does your pride your hunger get satisfied as an Indian while on the other hand (except these few entities)the rest of India is fighting for water,education,medicine,electricity,job,hunger.....you just name it and one will ponder that India is nowhere near the mark but there is a hugh fan followers for cricket and wasting the time (9 hours for each day Test-match,6 hours for one-dayar,and some 5hours for 2020) and after this do anyone have any time for the w work at office.... In sort I am sick of it,thanks that you have given your different thought.

India have every right to play cricket and its true that India have won the world cups in CRICKET......but how shameful we Indians are those who only support the game of cricket and do not bother about other sports which are our national game and have the approval of lot many countries as such in Olympic etc. India is lagging behind in those disciplines....,at an every Olympic event.Do you know what is the arena of Olympics are???? and where is the position of just few cricket playing country are !!! It does not matter whether its a team game or an individual performance!! its a matter should!! India afford to continue with the game which does not hold any position in an International Arena the true forum!!! What benefits did you get from cricket as an Indian??? If cricket is to be continued than why not ICL why only IPL??? WHY not You or any other local neighborhood people why only sachin why not Brain Lara or Bradman or Steve Waugh.....why the honour of SIR been bestowed on the New-Zewland bowler(Sir Richard Hadlee)not to Kapil Dev or any other player of such strata.....why only the 2020 why not the TEST CRICKET..... why India have not won a single world-cup during the the presence of your great players like sachin,saurab and so on ....just ponder for a minetues or two and really speak the truth the first 2020 WC which team should have won the game and who have won it....why such an ambiguity is associated with this game,??? then where the team spirit have gone...... so my friend rkbnet its time to ponder and not just follow the path blindly,there are lots of things to be done and to be appreciated one should not be so narrow minded and cricket specific ......
