I have super dry skin. I was born with eczema. I usually use differin which is for ace. which i don't have. i just have really dry skin but I wanna try and get off of that stuff so tonight I tried something new. at first i tried lotion. I used vaseline something with vitamin E in it but my face still felt dryish so i tried just a thin layer of regular vaseline on my face in my worst areas and wow! it worked. it feels just like when i use differin. soft and smooth feeling well moisturized. i need a very good deep something thick and i guess this is it. it seems to be working. i don't think it will be good to use daily because i think it'll cause me to start getting zits because it is so heavy but i'm gonna be using it some days for sure. i don't know why i didn't try this sooner. have you ever used vaseline as a moisturizer? did it work for you? also i heard some people use it to prevent wrinkles on their face. is that true?

Hi there! Vaseline is a really good product. I've used it on a lot of stuff too! I use it to soften callouses, to relieve dry skin and rashes. I've also used it to lighten dark spots on my skin. I used it every night and apply on my feet to soften the skin cause usually it's the feet that often gets dry skin. And it does give good results! But on my face, I've never tried it. I guess it's safe cause they are also used on babies' skin and babies have delicate skin like our face. And it can help reduce wrinkle cause it prevents the skin from drying up which is one of the causes of wrinkles. Why don't you try using milk and oatmeal and apply on your face? Mix oatmeal and milk until they turn like a paste and apply on your face and let dry for at least an hour and then rinse off. Milk is known to produce moisture and it can help moisturize your face. The same goes for milk based products for our skin. Ciao!

Thanks Zed! Though my face isn't dry but I know that milk and oatmeal do helps moisturize the skin. My sister applies the mixture and it improves her skins' condition. It also whitens it. My face on the other hand is oily so instead of milk I use warm water and oatmeal mixture and apply on the face and let the oatmeal absorb excess oil.

Use yoghurt as a face pack once a day. It will be good.

Vaseline is good, sameroad.. I think it's pretty safe to use it on your face. Why not try some baby products and since they are very mild in ingredients, can be very safe for your face. I know that lots of baby products have moisturized ingredients in them.

sameroad hi I think the best thing for a dry skin on your'face is'not heavy thick vaseline. use aveeno products made from oatmeal and thie'willmake your skin soft and moistureized without that heavy grease. i use and like very much Aveeno products they are natural'and work.

I have used Vaseline before, but I started using olive oil instead. Olive oil is natural and gentle on the skin, especially if you are prone to getting allergies or skin irritation. A little olive oil or vaseline on the tips of dry hair is also good to stop the frizz associated with the humidity. Great post, thanks!
