Here is a political term that seem to be an oxymoron, libertarian-socialist. How in the world could you be a libertarian-socialist? Well simple you are one that believes in the libertarian acxiom keep your mitts to yourself, while at the same time practicing voluntary socialism like a commune. Now to be honest I still think this individuals are nuts, but at least they do no harm to myself. The individuals that do harm is the socialist that practice corrosion meaning you will live in the world we tell you to live in and you have no choice. I could go into a whole pro-choice argument but I CHOOSE not to.

If the socialist lifestyle is completely voluntary and non-governmental then it can be very libertarian. However, as soon as you take the voluntary out of it and put the force of government behind it, then there is no libertarian to it.

gewcew23, I think it is an oxymoron. I consider myself a Libertarian/Conservative and I hate Socialist,Communist,Nazi's,Liberals etc. Is it ok for me to hate the very people trying to take my Freedom and Liberty? They hate me too. I don't blame them. I'm against everything they fight for. Do you want the government telling you what medical treatments you can get? If it was up to them they would take everything you own and earn.

That is why I drew the contradiction between voluntary and corrosion. I do not care if someone want to practice socialism on a hundred acre in Montana with a bunch of berry and twig eaters. The issue is when they want the Federal government to enact socialistic policies.
