Well, it depends on where you are, I think. Here in the Philippines, some have postponed buying the new mac pros because they wanted to wait for the complete package (new mac book pro + snow leopard). Why upgrade to Snow Leopard when one is planning to buy a new laptop anyway? But I guess this points to another consideration. If you are still quite attached to your old mac then an upgrade to Snow Leopard might still be a good option. I don't know the details of its features but since it's an Apple, it must be a quality upgrade. (At least in this context, hehe)

I don't know, Apple tends to call them "upgrades" when they are small features, that can be implemented in service packs, but Apple does make simplicity for profit. Apparently a couple of applications that work on 10.5 "leopard" don't work on 10.6 "snow leopard". Its only $29 so its not that bad

I think it is very worth it. Fast installation, bunch of features that speeds up your mac, and best of all at a very good price. Buy it!
