rivengodwind responded to a discussion called Chronicle in watching movies.

I've been meaning to watch this since it came out months ago. Is it good? Though it would still be interesting enough to watch, given the premise and all. I actually thought that this was a remake of the grand anime classic "Akira" when I saw the trailer, but nevertheless, the setting got my attention. I'll try to find a copy then.

rivengodwind responded to a discussion called Does sugar make children hyperactive? in candy.
Nope, and if there is an effect it's not significant. The original study (where it all started) had a lot of flaws in its design, including but not limited to its, diary-based data gathering and non-homogenous population, i.e. children in varied circumstances. The meta-analysis that you mentioned (i.e. the 1995 review) probably had the same conclusion.

rivengodwind responded to a discussion called Uhmmm…are people (we) more likely to cheat or flirt when it rains? in people.
Hm, well it's hard to prove until we've concrete data. For example, what population thus this seem to be true, e.g. American, Asian, etc., and is rain (or, cold weather for that matter) the only biggest contributor to why people cheat given those conditions? A lot of factors are involved actually, but it may be an interesting research topic for economists.

rivengodwind responded to a discussion called Do you thin assembled laptops are good? in laptop.
Honestly I've never heard of an assembled laptop because these are almost always made by big companies (note: they are always branded.) Desktops PCs, can be assembled however, and there are lots of how to's on the Internet that tells you how to do so. These assembled desktops *are* always cheaper than branded computers so if you know someone who could assemble them for you then that's great. ...

The Devil found at the St. Francis Basilica in Italy
