first is, you need to go to a doctor to check if your friend really has a low blood pressure. Then follow whatever the doctor would say or advice. For now, what you can tell to your friend is that, tell her that before she stands up or change position, she has to do it slowly from her current position to another. Then, tell her to avoid too much eating foods rich in fats, oily foods, gas forming foods (foods that are seasoned with too much condiments) & etc.....And then, tell her to eat more of green leafy vegetables (like bitter gourd leaves, and many more), fruit vegetables (like bitter gourd, okra, squash, and many more) fish, chicken (only the white meat of it, no to chicken skin), beef and of course fruits that are rich in fiber. Moreover, tell her to sleep early and make sure she sleeps at least 6-8 hours(recommended sleeping hours for adult, except of course if she is really sick)......But then again, the best action is to see a doctor and have a medical check up...

I also have low blood pressure. When my last time medical check up, i found that my HB level is too low as well. But later i drink alot of guava juice. This kind of juice is good for low blood pressure patient. Make sure to have a red guave juice. This is only one of the natural source for helping low blood pressure patient. The most important thing is a low blood pressure patient must have enough sleep everyday, at least must be 8 hours, and also eat more meats. But don't forget to do some exercise. Exercise is also very important. Doing regular exercise will increase the blood circulation which good for keeping our body in fit condition. A fit condition is very important for low blood pressure patient. And, don't force ourselves to doing hard work. Try to avoid stress in working area. If the low blood pressure condition is worst, i suggest to having enough rest first before go back to working. This is important to having enough rest, even total rest for several days. This is for healing progress. But remember to consume nutritious foods. Usually low blood pressure patient have a lower appetite, so drinking juice, especially red guave juice is the best option for prevention. Remember to eat more red meats such as beef. Good luck and have a nice day. Happy mylotting.

There are some medications for this type of thing but I suggest that this person see a doctor for them to be able to prescribe the right dosage for them. I am not sure if there are foods to help it though.

YEah, there's definitely food for her to eat, to prevent it from happening.. Low blood pressure occurs her suagr level in the blood is not enough, and thus she will feel giddy after lying down or crouching for too long.. As such, she needs to be carrying some sweet stuffs with her, to wherever she goes.. So that when she's experiencing giddiness again, she will just eat it, to balance the glucose level in the blood ^_^ Sweets will be more than good enough, and maybe some healthy sweeten drinks such as honey will be fine too ^_^

Getting lightheaded right after lying down or crouching doesn't necessarily having a low BP or hypotension at all. If this is the case that it only happened during those activities then it is a normal body reaction from any sudden changes of posture or position and not low blood pressure already. But if the feelings happened away from those activities then there's a lot of medical examinations that needs to be done with your friend's doctors. Complete blood count is necessary at this point to check if your friend's hemoglobin and hematocrit counts are within normal range since these are related to the condition you have mentioned. Start from there before giving anything to your friend and it is always wise to seek medical advice before anything else.

Hi srikandi19! I have low blood pressure, myself, but her's sounds terribly low! I don't know if there's any medication for it or not. I tend to get a little dizzy when I stand up after sitting for a long period of time. I thought it was just due to age, though. I inherited my low blood pressure from mother. Kathy.
