If Mylot is not World Wide....

I think that Mylot would be less interesting if it wasn't an international site. I love the fact I that I am able to communicate with people from so many different countries, and I think that it is a great way to learn new things. I enjoy the discussions on MyLot, because we get so many different perspectives. Some time ago a I read a discussion about love marriages versus arranged marriages, and a discussion like that wouldn't have been possible if all of the members had been Danish, because in my country almost every marriage is a love marriage, so it would be hard to hear "the other side of story". Taking care of your parents versus nursing homes is another topic that is interesting to discuss when many different countries and cultures are represented. I am a member of a local forum too, and sometimes I like to discuss the local new etc, but I generally find internatinal discussions more interesting.

Hi Abhaijith, I am a member of some Domestic social networking sites too. The fact is that, when you are signed to a domestic site, you will be discussing about some domestic issues whereas being on a International site, you would be dealing on a broader range of activities. Your thoughts and knowledge will be diversified as you will be dealing with a people of different society, culture, etc. For me, the best part to be in an international site is that, your achievement is counted among more number of members. As for example, I was happier to be 5th in the category Women in discussion over here (Now much lower as I am not that active as I used to be) than to be among the top 3 at ibibo category (Local Indian SNS). So, just feel the difference to yourself. Happy Mylotting.

It's true indeed. The whole charm of myLot stems from the fact that your started discussion will be getting responses from people widely separated across the world, thus emphasizing more the global village we are living in. Nobody is distant from each other any longer. And this feeling of togetherness leads to the success of this site. Let's all enjoy myLotting. Cheers.

One of the reasons I love going on to My Lot is that members come from all over the world. If it was just for people from my home country it wouldn't be nearly as interesting. It is lovely to interact from people from different countries. I have made some friends on My Lot and they come from all sorts of different countries. They vary in age and are not all a similar age to myself. I hope that you are having an enjoyable time on wonderful My Lot.

Personally if it was only confined to my country, or even only to Europe, I would not find it as interesting as it is now. I have learnt a lot since I joined just becuause it IS an international site and makes us aware of what life is like in other parts of the globe. It is great to see a different point of view and not only our own both on trivial matters and on those more imortant issues. I hope it will always remain international just the same as it is now.

hehe...if so, first of all, i can't read ur discussion. second, there maybe not so many members here. third, not so many comments, culture, ideas, etc to be shared here. and others...

if mylot is only for one country only if for example for my country only, it will not be as interesting as it is for worldwide but i i still can get active as long as the local members will be active and will help or do their part to make the site as interesting as possible.

Mylot is a worldwide sites where we get friends from all over the world to share views and ideas.

Well I guess I could still join and lie about my country, but I wouldn't do that. Then there is no way that you can end up getting paid if it's not for your country anyway. I guess those are one of the reasons I love mylot! It's a great place to socilize, make money, and it accepts people from all over the country. Not being racist like some other sites.

If mylot is only available in my country. Well I can say that there are no unusual topic that will be discussed because interesting topics are donated by other nationalities and we truly are unique and have ideas of our own. Like this one now. You have the idea what if my lot is only available in your place.

Then it wouldn't be as interesting. I'd rather not join if that would be the case. LOL. =))

There is a well known site which isn't actually confined to my country but still it filters them out mostly according to one's country. And I am well away from it. Had mylot been confined to this country, I would not have kept logging in even if it paid double. There are many people out there talking to whom doesn't require internet at all!

Then we can not know each other. lol Actually, the most interesting aspect about Mylot is just beacause it is an international site where all people on the earth can chat with each other. Suppose it is just a Web site limited to U.S. people, it can not be so popular. So, welcoming worldwide people is very wise decision of Mylot.

If it was confined only to our country, myLot would be the same but it won't be as interesting as it is now because there wouldn't have been enough ideas & discussions on different topics. Happy Lotting
