Yes, I do remember teachers who call student for recitations and if the student failed to answer, teacher will criticize their student to the point of embarassing them in front of the class. Although our culture is a very modest one, we as student don't prolong the embarrassment of each student who experience it in class. We are not fond of teasing students who failed to answer. Anything that happens in the four corners of the classroom especially if it is a bad experience should remain in class. Happy myloting.

Wow bad day at school jasmine? Some teachers don't know when they are hurting someones elses feelings. I found it best to go directly to the teacher and tell them how you feel. I'm so sorry you had to be told off in front of the class. This is the teacher's fault not yours to me she is out of line. She could have called you out into the hall and had a short discussion with you or bettr yet after class. The best way to handle this is to tell this teacher how embarrasing this was to you and inmature on their part for doing so. She/he doesn't like what you say, tell them because next time you will walk out on them. If it happens again to so but go straight to the office and have a talk with the principal that is his job to correct teachers that have bad teaching qualities..Good luck at school tomorrow and you need to talk to your parents about this if you can.

Sherric1222... you hit the nail on the head. teacher don't always now that they are causeing drama for a student. my god daughter is in second grade. she is a girlie little lady whom loves dressed and clothes that match. her teachers love how her mother dresses her as well. after being teased last year for a month because the teachers would make a fuss over her cute outfits she came home and cut her long hair... we were all shocked. but found out that she felt like she did not fit because her clothes were nice and she had long hair. Now we are in a new school year. he hair grew back so now she can almost sit on it. the tearcher have started the fuss over again. my god daughters mother has spoken with the teach and aksed them to treat her like the rest of the children because the treat her differntly. As an adult i forgot how school can be.

Oh how sad, she is only a six or seven years old then? You need to contact the principal of the school to settle this then. Also if this doesn't work have them contact the Board of Education in the location where their daughter attends school. I hope this helps she is so young to have been tanted like this, you would think another school mate or children would tease another child her age, not another teacher. This needs to be addressed before it gets out of hand.

hi jasmine252 yes and its even worse when you are in college in frontr of a large class and a professor makes you the laughing stock of the class. I did report him to the dean and that particular professor was told never to do that to a student again. if he felt he needed to talk to a student for any reason to ask her to see him in his office.
