most mylotters seem to be showing great interest in open questions, some of which appear even rather stupid and ignorant, but show little interest in the essays concerning what one is really experiencing, feeling and thinking. is mylot not the very place to put forward those serious essays and just the heaven for fun? My theory is that those that do that do it because they are only here to earn money and they dont want to actually get involved in discussions but rather just run through and post as much as they can as fast as they can trying to get the earnings.....and though that seems like the majority of people here there are a LOT that really do enjoy the thoughtful discussions...I am one of those myself....I dont even bother with the what color socks are you wearing ones at all.... Of course I probably dont earn as much as those people either but thats ok!

Money is driving our souls mad. Sometimes we are walking too fast for souls to catch up with. Thank you for your response. Abrat.

Hey Adarcy, I like some in depth discussions, but find some I think are intelligent, and interesting, don't get any reaction with other myLotters, whereas a simple question gets several responses, and can also be fun, so I like to do a mixture of both. That's a happy medium for me.

I like discussions that make me think before I respond, and so do most of the members here. The problem is that those who want to know what you had for breakfast or what is your favourite colour don't have to put any thought into the topic, so it seems as if the boards are overrun with inane discussions, as they can post 10 discussions to the 'thinking member's' one. Go to the 2nd or even 3rd pages of the discussions under each category and you should get something worth responding to. It works most of the time for me.

Hello, regarding the idea you have put forward this is my opinion. It may be wrong also. People may not be taking part in discussions involving serious writing or some news item or current affairs, because I feel they may be feeling that if their writing is not liked by the person who started may give negative rating which will reduce their star. It is only my guess have a nice day
