Is it just me?

I've just spent over an hour catching up on e-mails I'd flagged, there were about 100 of them and I'd forgotten why I'd flagged some of them. Do you do that or do you deal with them straight away?

I only bring down the ones I'm interested in and delete the others before they land on my computer. I read them, usually in the order they come (unless there is an important one ahead.) Any that require more thought or a long reply, I just leave there, to return to later. The ones that are easily replied to or dealt with, I do immediately and either delete them or file them in the appropriate folder. That way, there are very few on my page and I can easily see the ones still needing attention, so there is no need to flag any.

No, it's not just you. I'd be willing to bet that most of us do the same thing. I finally made folders in my email to hold some of that stuff and keep it more organized. Even with doing that I still have a lot of stuff flagged and not taken care of. I have categories to make a little more sense of it so I don't have to hunt or do an email search. Like I have one labeled: write back. Lots of times I get an email from a friend but don't have a chance to get to writing back on the day I get it, and if I don't flag it (or stick it somewhere) it'll get lost in the shuffle. Once I've dealt with it I'll either delete it, or move it to the one marked 'Friends' so I can refer back to it if I want to. I'm notorious for sending my daughters links for something that they wanted me to look up for them. I send an email back to myself so that I can go back to that link. So for that, I have what I've named: Link Locker, and I store those in there. I know I could put the link in my favorites, but that's crammed even more than my email boxes are lol. Good to see you nana, hope you have a wonderful and safe Labor day weekend:-)

I never use those email tools...I honestly do not see the point. I either read and delete or I read and deal with it. That way when I'm finished, I can delete and it's gone. If I need or want to keep an email I move it to a different folder.

I don't flag any of my emails. I may pass over them to get to something else but then I go back right away to deal with them. If I leave them for later I might not ever get to them as they may get lost in the mess of brand new emails that come in and accidentally get deleted.

Hello, I try to go through all my email unless it is in the junk folder. I scan the junk folder to see if something has gone in there before I delete the folder.I flag some email if I need to keep the email for something. I usually try to go through the flagged email to see if I still need it.

I try to deal with them immediately. I never flag them because I can't remember what was important about them!

I go right through my e-mail in the order that they come and i take care of one before i go to the next, that way i do not have to back track on anything.

I never flag my emails. All that considered as spam with the deleted straight away. I won't bother spend my time even to read the headline. Those that need quick response like from work or bank will be reply immediately. And others that has less priority will be attended later on but still on the same day. I don't like to put them on hold or I'll never get it done.
