Never watched the film, as although I enjoy Mel Gibson's role in Lethal Weapon, I thnk of hims as someone who dislieks the English. Braveheart is only partially factual, and ignores the fact that Wallace was a petty criminal and a murderer before he took up with the Scottish rebels. Even after peace was declared between Robert the Bruce and the English, Wallace continued to fight making him a traitor to the Guardian of Scotland (and future king) as well as a traitor to England

Don't take it personaly .. I warned you ! Yeah, sure, WW was a murderer and Robin Hood just a tief. Sure, there is no connection between the historicaly proven fact that SCOTISH people were trusted as french king personal guards while France often had wars with .. England :-P Anyway, William Wallace movei is made after a ... LEGEND story, "the tales of ..", which mean there is a epic novell which contain SOME truths with a literary cover ... Then sure the movie would have some exagerations about the main character, making him to shine as a hero while in fact .. nobody was / is/ would be perfect :-P

Just out of curiosity you do know that a lot of the legends about William Wallace come from one poet who would tell how he fought at battles that didn't even exist?
