Last night I went to someones house, and they had a dog. I am a huge animal lover, and so I of course pet the dog, and walked around their house barefooted. Well I woke up today with lots of flea bites, and found a couple of fleas on me :( I am just so itchy. I sprayed my room with bug spray, and washed my clothes. How long does it take for flea bites to go away?

Hello spicy! It must have been hurtful for you. I don't want to have those bites either. Why don't you try washing it with soap first then apply an anti-itch lotion or any hydrocortisone ointment. Anyway, here's a site that could help you. HAPPY MYlOTTING! http://www.fleascontrol.com/flea-bite.htm

Depends on if you are allergic to them. Typically not long, but if you have a skin reaction, then it could be hours or a day.

I think consult your doctor and get an antiallergic prescribed. it will hasten recovery.

I hate flea bites!!! I used to get them all the time when i was a kid cause we had dogs and cats in the house. It was reeeally itchy and it felt so good when i scratch them eventhough my mom asked me not to. Now i have 2 young dogs in the house and since it's summer, fleas can just be around as they come in and out of the house. I got 2 bites early last month so I immediately bought flea shampoo for them. What i did was apply some vicks vapor rub on my 2 bites. It helped a lot cause of the minty cool feeling which prevented me from scratching the bites. Don't spray your room with bug spray cause bug sprays have strong chemicals that could actually damage your nervous system. Take care :)
