I hadn't seen the movie, Stranger than Fiction, until last night, and found it quite quirky, witty, and generally charming. Will Ferrell does very well with a character than could have come across boring; Emma Thompson is great, as always, even though she's playing such an unsympathetic character, and the story, even though it required you to suspend belief, still made a kind of sense. http://tinyurl.com/r357wd

Personally, I can't stand Will Ferrell but I love Maggie Gyllenhaal so I watched (actually, it was a Maggie Marathon with Stranger than Fiction, Sherrybaby and Secretary, but that's beside the point ). And I was pleasantly surprised. If he would play more serious roles like that one he would be far less annoying.

I think Will Ferrell often gets roles that oddball and not particularly funny...but I'm sure I've seen him in something else which I can't now recall where he played a more serious role, and that came across well too. I think the movie as a whole is good value.

I thought this movie was pretty good found it very interesting and found it pretty funny. I do love will ferrel, he is an awesome actor and one of the best actors of our generation well one of the funniest at least. I usally see most of the movies hes in would of saw this movie even if it had a different actor since it looked very good.
