mcrowl responded to a discussion called Have You Ever Had To Go To The Bathroom So Bad That You Peed In Your Pants.
This isn't embarrassing to me...any more! I had a prostate operation at the beginning of the year, and in the first few days after that you tend to have to dash to the toilet very quickly, because you're bladder is still struggling to get things right. Yup, I had a couple of misses...and several near misses![em]happy[/em]

mcrowl responded to a discussion called how does the reputation star next to your name work? in mylot.com.

This question gets asked again and again on this site. I think you'll find explanations of it in the rules, but basically it's an indication of your ranking on mylot. If you do a lot of posting, particularly posts where you actually write more than one or two sentences, then you'll get ranked highly. If you only ever post a sentence, or a single question kind of discussion, then your rank will ...

I agree that double standards are never healthy for a society. If you're talking about the incident when a white policeman arrested a black professor at the door of his own home, and then Obama phones the policeman, then I'm a bit puzzled as to what you're making the fuss about. As far as I can tell, Obama discussed the situation with the policeman and everything was sorted. You have to remembe...

mcrowl responded to a discussion called How much can i earn from a single squidoo article?.
About as much as you can earn from any article on any of these kinds of sites. I write a lot of articles for Triond.com, and am lucky if I make a $1.50 a month from all of them. If you're expecting to make large amounts of money out of any of these sites, you'll be disappointed. The only time an article makes a lot of money is if it happens to get a very large number of readers - and they hav...

mcrowl responded to a discussion called Is there any free blog? in computers.

I don't quite understand your question. Blogspot and Wordpress are both free. And if you've created a blog in them both, you must already know this. What is it you're actually asking?[em]whistle[/em]

mcrowl responded to a discussion called Breakup in had my heart broken.

Surely it depends on how closely attached you were to the person. If you've been together a long time, like some years, then of course it's going to be difficult. You're basically having a divorce. If it's only a few weeks, then I expect you'll be feeling fine in a few days, especially if things weren't going well.[em]wink[/em]

mcrowl responded to a discussion called Different Browsers in internet.

I've only used IE and Firefox. Opera's been around a long time, and I think my geek son has used it quite a bit, but I don't think he stuck with it. Haven't even thought about using Google Chrome. It just seemed to me to be another thing Google was doing just for the sake of it.

Great to hear....hopefully it keeps that way.

No need to feel stupid....dozens of people have asked this question!

Sadly, as soon as someone disagress with you, you begin to insult them. This isn't the way to have a discussion, whether you're right or wrong. You know nothing about me except for a few lines that were written in reponse to your post. If you don't want to discuss what you said, then don't write posts. It's a simple as that. mylot is a forum, which means people will disagree with you, sometimes.

Email Clutter

Does anyone else find it hard to keep track of their emails, whether at work or at home? I use Outlook at work, and put some stuff into folders, but even then there are still lots of emails that...

Christian quotations

I like keeping a record of interesting quotes, and before the Internet was the big thing, I used to do this in old notebooks. When I ran a Christian bookshop, I would spend some time each day writing...

Original Sin - a cultural history

This is a fairly new book, by Alan Jacob, who's an author I really enjoy reading. His book on C S Lewis, The Narnian, was a delight, and restored some sanity to the way in which A N Wilson had...

I enjoy taking photos of murals
