It's your mylot 'reputation' - says that you're a pretty good guy in mylot's estimation. You must have been doing quite a bit of posting on here in a short time, with posts that are worth reading and get responded to a lot.

It is becoming increasingly clear that much of the hype about Global Warming is simply that: hype. There are scientists on both sides of the argument putting forward what appear to be sound arguments, yet their views are in opposition to each other. I think that a lot of what is being talked about in relation to Global Warming and Climate Change is actually being promoted so that people can mak...

I think you need to learn something about history. Hitler was evil: he was a murderer, he invaded other people's countries, he encouraged the genocide of millions of Jews, he caused the deaths of tens of thousands of other innocent people, he left Germany in a poverty-ridden state, and brought about the separation of his own country into two halves. Need I go on?

What movie are you talking about? And didn't you have any backup?

mcrowl responded to a discussion called What is the reason to make your blog or website if you have it?.

I write blogs because I like writing in the first place. I think that if you don't enjoy writing, then you'll never enjoy writing a blog. It will always seem like too much hard work. If you have a subject you're really interested in, then that will help you to make your blog interesting too. But if you're just in it for the money, you may as well forget it. There are very few blogs making eno...

Thanks for these, Cloudwatcher. I haven't got them on my blog, although I know the Jim Elliot one from way back. I'll have to look on the Net and see if I can track down the source of the other.

I agree....it's just getting around to doing it that so many people find a problem!

2000 emails? Crikey, how many email accounts do you have, and are they all worth having?

Yes, that would be upsetting! But no, 10 is the BIG number, so 9 is certainly pretty good. I've never made it above 8.

mcrowl commented in a discussion called How can I make my blog popular? in blogging.

It's not hard to find things to write about. What interests you most? There must be some things that are more important to you than others. Write about those. If you're really struggling to think of things to write, then I would suggest you're not really interested in writing, and if you're not interested in writing, then you'll find writing a blog very hard work. Once you start one, you ne...

Christian quotations

I like keeping a record of interesting quotes, and before the Internet was the big thing, I used to do this in old notebooks. When I ran a Christian bookshop, I would spend some time each day writing...

Original Sin - a cultural history

This is a fairly new book, by Alan Jacob, who's an author I really enjoy reading. His book on C S Lewis, The Narnian, was a delight, and restored some sanity to the way in which A N Wilson had...

I enjoy taking photos of murals

In our city we have a lot of murals scattered around, some of them have been commissioned, and some of them have just been painted by people who specialise in high-class graffiti. Some of them are of...
