Let me explain you from the veiw of Science.. Answer: Neither the Egg nor the Hen came first, it was the Micro-organisms that adpated themselves to a particular enviroment and gradually evolved into an animal/bird/vegetation. Still Confused .. ?? do a goolge on Scientific Approach on the matter..

My (serious) answer has to be the EGG because the first chicken must have hatched from an egg laid by a bird that was not a chicken (even though it might have looked very like one). I would always serve an egg salad as a STARTER before the main course of ROAST CHICKEN, so, naturally, the egg would come first!
