Many economists believe that free trade could promote welfare of the whole world, because each country could concentrate on their competitive industries. Then under certain resource condition, we could get more and better products and services. But in reality we could see that many people and groups oppose free trade for various reasons. Almost all the governments maintain domestic free trade by means of law, but they often set tariff and non-tariff barriers to restrict international free trade. As the world economy is unable to recover from recession, the trend of trade protectionism are on the rise. So what do you think of free trade? I'm expecting your opinions.

International free trade, does not promote the welfare of the whole world! The only ones that profit from world trade, are the people that have money already! When a country profits from world trade, they don't pass that money on down to the people that need it, the common people, that money stays in the governments pockets! Us common people just continue to strive, the politicos and the government are the only ones that live in splendor!

It seems that you oppose free trade. You said only rich people and government benefit from world. But I think it's the fault of distribution mechanism, not free trade. What we need to do is to improve it so that the profit from world trade could be distributed more fairly.
