Practice cramming as way of studying?

Some students do cramming at school specially for examinations. Why is it?
Me as a student, I could not help it because of out of time and failure to study beforehand.
Are you the same with me?

Yes! I am most definitely in the same boat as you. One thing that we get to learn while in college (usually the hard way, of course) is time management. A professor lets us know that there will be a test on Friday, and a lot of us who don't yet know how to effectively manage our time..Wait until Thursday night to actually sit down and do a hard-core study session (AKA "cramming"). It's unfortunate, though, because if we planned ahead and were responsible, we would study for 1/2 an hour a day a week before the test rather than a day before the test and staying up all night studying.
