What are the chances of Sec Gilbert Teodoro in winning the presidency in 2010?

I suppose that Sec Gilbert Teodoro will be the administration's bet for president in 2010, and not Bayani Fernando. I must admit, I have not seen Teodoro's achievements in terms of public service. In addition, I think whoever candidate the government will choose he will not win. With this, what do you think are the chances of Sec Teodoro in winning the presidential election in 2010? Say to say, it's 25% for me and it's nothing personal. I just know when he starts to campaign. How about you? Thanks!

teodoro has a slim chance in the presidential race. He is not known to the masses and he is only visible just recently. His track record speak for itself. i mean, nothing new or unusual changes happen in mindanao in terms of peace and order. there is still rampant kidnappings and killings not to mention bombings. how can you possibly credit him for his position when he dint do anything to solve these crimes. i dunno about you people what do you see in him? nothing. he is just one of those aspirants seeking power for their own benefits. ooops! am i not suppose to say that? sorry.. i already did..

In my opinion. I prefer Teodoro, than Bayani, my friend. Even do their is no accomplishment being recorded by Teodoro, I bet him than Bayani...Who's human rights violators. In my opinion about chances of Teodoro, wining the Presidential race, is that 50% because they have a good paraphernalia's and resources. The losing chances of Teodoro is that his allies in the politics. I don't think if he's better than any other candidates. Because he is in administration, I think the government is not change in concept because those personalities in his party is the same with Pres. Gloria, cabinet. If he wants to change and impose any development in the country. He should not loyal to this party but loyal to his country. But he speaks out that he is loyal to his party not for the country. So, if he wins his party will benefited not the country or citizens of the Philippines...have a nice day!

I don't he can do something about corruption. Since he is announcing that this not his priority because he knows that his ally will be suffer a lot of charges if he can do so. Whatever he wanted to make progress in the country he can't do it, my friend. Due to his ally in politics will conduct side by side corruption in the country and those foreign investor is afraid to invest their money here because of that... If he is promise for not loyal to his party after winning the election. I'm sure the country will have a little bit changes. After election he should abolish his party or just leave his party to make his governance not influence by his party and do freely the best for our country and not pressure from his party once making any laws or changes in our country... Have a nice day!

What are the chances? I think very big. I'm sure that Gloria's administration will do everything to put this man on seat to maintain contuity of power for their party. Teodoro has a track to boast too. I was told by my officemate that Teodoro is a graduate of Harvard. He took an exam in New York so he can practice law there and he passed. Not bad. This speaks of his intelligence. I also learned that Teodoro is supported by his uncle Danding Cojuangco. Yes he is a Cojuangco. Now this makes his chances even bigger. LOL.

I'll bet you Gloria's devilish tricks, will never work this time! Hello Garci! or even if she modify it to hello Doro! Teodoro will be on the last rank next year.

Now that elections have come, Gibo certainly has a chance of winning with the youth backing up and various officials changing their votes to Gibo, he certainly has!

are you serious with this kind of discussion? any person/candidate pushed by administration for president is a definite loser. as for teodoro, he is lucky to reach more than 3% of the voters. in the survey, he even could not make a whole 1%. always less than a percent. even with the vaunted machinery of the administration, his chances are nil. the people have learned from gma's tricks in 2004. it won't happen again.

Your right 1 percent or maybe .5 percent for Teodoro. 24.5 percent for Former President Erap, 30 percent for Sen. Villar and 45 percent of votes for Sen. Noynoy. In this coming election cheaters will never win especially here in our district. Last presidential vote in our district: FPJ 200,000; gloria 20,000.

Yes I have to agree with that. Although a member of the Cojuangco clan I guess his being too close with the administration is the one thing that would put him down. The survey just states that he is not moving upwards and remains at the bottom among the candidates. I think admin are desperate to get a good candidate and is really determined to put a candidate that is as popular as Noynoy right now. What Teodoro can only get from this campaign is the logistics and the money from administration.

Well, Sec. Gilbert Teodoro is not that popular... although i think he is intelligent and quite capable... but a lot of Filipinos do not really know him... unlike Bayani Fernando who already made his mark sa MMDA Chairman... but we will see... May 2010 is still a long way to go... and a lot of things can still happen between now and that date...

Just wanted to say "not a chance ! " People of the Philippines need to stand firm here and be more diligent than ever in casting their votes and guarding those votes ! If people really are sick and tired of the current administration, we all need to do our part. And I just wanna say that please people if you really want change ! oh please forget about voting for Erap ! (just wanted to let that out, thank you ! ) if you want to vote for Erap , think and rethink lots of times ! :)

I don't know him as well, I tell you, he will not surely win with his campaigns. Just imagine what had Pichay did when he is campaigning for the Senate position, he failed. I still believe and feel that Noynoy will stand out with the ratings and with the official results indeed.

hi fatherblogger I think she will not win? Teodoro's in not popular candidate i thinks Teodoro's get 100 or 500 vote in the 2010 election she only a Vote For Lakas Cmd or and her family i think get Vote of 1000 people in the 2010 she vote of lakas cmd and her family ha.ha.ha she waste her time because will never be win she waste her money too. ha.ha.ha. if she win in 2010 election i think Teodoro's Cheated in 2010 election or she help madam Corrupt President Gloria Arroyo to win. she will never win in 2010 election. much better she do is give donate her money to the poor.. because the money he used for election 2010 is will be waste.

I don't know much about Gilbert Teodoro aside from the things he say during presscons, ambush interviews, and of course, his tv campaigns. I think he has a 6% chance of winning 2010 elections.

I think the administration has no proper man to become their standard bearer to have a good fight for other popular candidates like Noynoy Aquino and Manny Villar. They are hopeless that they just pick Gilbert Teodoro, who for all goodness, is not known to the public. I think he just pick up by the administration to discredit Noynoy, they are cousins from the Cojuanco side. Teodoro is of course intelligent according to press releases but he cannot compete with the popularity of his cousin Noynoy. Honestly, he has a very slim chances to win considering that in order to win Philippine election you must be popular and love by the masses. The administration is very hopeless, Teodoro did not even included in the surveys.

Too early to say, but I think he has to work on his PR so that people get to know him. Aside from the position that he holds in Arroyo's administration, I don't know anything else about him.

Frankly, i don't know much about teodoro, he's been working closely with the administration and i heard that if he becomes president, he will push on for the charter change. I'd rather see a Noynoy,Escudero, and Villar Face off in the elections. too bad for them Noli de Castro has lost interest in running for higher office..yeah, the silent country man is not running, i hope.

I think its official that the Administration is for Teodoro. His chances? Nil. Unless, they will again use some magic to ensure that administration bet will win. Though, I could not deny that the clout of this administration is very deep to the lowest government level. I hope they (all candidates) will soon distribute in the internet their portfolio for us to study it.
