Do you ever set out a list of all the things you want or need to buy or want and need to do and do you find that you end up doing the opposite?

Sometimes I write things down that I want or plan on buying. When I get ready to go to the store or shopping, I usually forget my list. And then I forget what I put on the list and don't buy any of it. Good discussion. happy mylotting

According to what's on my list today...yes. It would only make sense then, that if you write a list of everything that is... or will turn to be the opposite...then you should somehow wind up getting it. ??? cd

Hello jj. When I decide to go shopping, I don't always make a list of things that I would like to get. Usually I can remember what I want, but sometimes in order not to forget something special, I will make a shopping list as a reminder.

Well this is quite funny. You see if i feel like i have alot going on and feel overwhelmed then i write things down so i dont forget. Then i forget the list at home. I forget easily when im stressed out and overwhelmed so i just give up writing things down cause then i forget the list.

i tend to get a little absent minded at times. so whenever my mom sends to purchase a few things like vegetables or groceries then i make sure i carry a list. otherwise when it cometo things that i require or when the list is small then i don't prepare a list.

I have to make a list every night for the next day, for the things I need to do. If I don't I could stay on this darn computer. If I have goal to finish each day, it makes me feel good that I have accomplished those things at the end of the day, instead of sitting on my behind staring at a computer.

Yes, I write a shopping list, but once shopping, I don't consult it. Once I have written it down, I remember it. Yes, I write a list of things to do. I work many hours a day (voluntary work at home) in a children's and youth ministry in various capacities. I have a "to do" list which I prioritise first thing each morning and I work through the list. Sometimes, after a phone call I have to add something to the list or re-prioritise an item. By the end of the day I will have achieved all I set out to do. Yes, I also have written goals - long range and short range - and I work to a schedule towards achieving those goals.

I even have a list of things, that I need to do online. But I work offline, so I have to do it when I get the chance to do it. But I do make a list and then go by that daily. In fact that is why I am here, it was on my list. I have to have a list when I go to the store, otherwise I buy things that are not needed.
