Yes or No: Should government policy be to try insure the uninsured?

At the base of Obama's attempts at health care reform is a drive to insure the uninsured. That would require some changes since the current one leaves so many without care. Well, is it sound public policy to insure everybody (or as close to everybody as we can?) Sure is expensive and goes against some of the free market ideas we hold dear... but insuring everyone makes for a fairer society, right? Your thoughts?

I think something should be done to insure everyone. That it would be fair to do this. Have a great day.

How is it fair for me to pay thousands per year to have insurance while simultaneously paying higher taxes so other people can get insurance for free?
