I have heard of people going to Alberta and British Columbia and working in camps (doing jobs such as cooking meals, making beds, etc) and working a couple of weeks on and a couple off....I am interested in something like this and have not been able to find the information I need to find who is hiring and where to look for these jobs. Anyone on here ever work at jobs like this? Do you know anyone who has? Do you know where I can get the information? I am sick of my current job and want something that pays more, allows to travel and allows me to have some time off to do my own travels as well. Thanks!

I understand your situation & you are doing all that you can do get a good job. Why not offer web based consulting of your expertise. You may have to start a website of your own or easy route - a free blog on which you write more about what you have skills on. you mention what services you will offer. Lots of people need info & they pay for your advice or consulting. thats something which can definitely help you build your career & financial support too.

I don't know anything about it but I know people used to do that in our Pacific Northwest. And I figured I'd add a penny with my reply. That sounds like a great job--I think it would probably be hard work but having half a month off would really be great! I hope you find a position!
