I'm kind of weird, but I find reference books incredibly engaging. Right now I'm reading "The Woman's Encyclopedia of Myths and Secrets" by Barbara G. Walker. I don't know that I would say that it's necessarily the most interesting book I've ever read, but it's up there. I've just read too many to choose. Saying it's up there is quite the compliment.

Just thought of one that moved me to tears -- disturbed, empathic tears: "The Handmaid's Tale" by Margaret Atwood, described as a feminist dystopian tale. Also "The Mists of Avalon" by Marion Zimmer Bradley, which is the story of Arthur and the Round Table told from the perspective of the women.

I know it sounds nerdy, but I just finished reading "How to care for your young child" by the American Pediatrics Association. It goes from birth to 5 years old and tells you how to do all sorts or things, different milestones to look for, common ailments and more. It's interesting because it's all the stuff they never tell you in health class and addresses some things you just never think about. Probably won't be such an interesting read if you don't have kids, but I have a newborn, so it's a great read and resource to have around.

I do not read much novels or books but once a novel came by my way called the three mistakes of my life.It was a good novel and i liked it.My friend reffered that to me and forced me to read it, I was not at all in favour of reading since the novel was a bit fat one but she compelled me to do so and now i feel that i had done the correct thing reading it.

The most interesting book so far I have read is "TAKE THE RISK" authored by world renown neurosurgeon Dr. Ben Carson of Johns Hopkins Hospital in Baltimore. It was an amazing book about life, about how to take risks and how one's faith in God gave strength to overcome odds in life. I was really struck by Dr. Ben Carson's sharing about his profession as a neurosurgeon that I finished reading the book in two days!because I couldn't just wait to discover the next sharing and story. Dr. Ben Carson pioneered the surgical procedure for conjoined twins, he had number of successful operations performed in the past and he is one of the top surgeon of the prestigious Johns Hopkins hospital. It was in this book that I knew the real story of the Bijani twins (Iranian conjoined twins), Dr. Carson participated in the 2005 surgical operation in an attempt to separate the Bijani who were both 29 years old at that time and accomplished lawyers. Dr. Carson described the grueling 51 hours operation which he declared as: "the extremely dangerous surgical procedure to be performed in medical history". It was breath taking and I was really teary eyed after reading the book.

When I was younger, I used to love reading epic novels like Exodus by Leon Uris and Jeffrey Archer's novels like Kane and Abel and The Prodigal Daughter. But now that I have not much spare time, I prefer to read short stories that I can finish in an hour or two. So I would read Jeffrey Archer's short stories like A Twist In The Tale. This is so far my most interesting book because it contains short stories with a twist. I love unpredictable endings.

I love to read also...it is a passion of mine. I have read so many over the years that all of them tend to be interesting. I love to read contemporary, paranormal, medieval, Scottish, Irish, historical, inspirational, science fiction, fantasy.... I would say, however, that the most interesting book that I have ever read would be the Dragonriders of Pern series by Anne McCaffrey. I read one book of hers and was hooked. I had to read the entire series, which I did and still do when they come out. Her books, along with her son, Todd, stand out on my mind. Also the Outlander series stands out in my mind. They are by Diana Gabaldon and they are excellent books. I know you asked for just one but there are so many that stand out that I just had to put the The Outlander series in also.

Wow...that's a really tough one. There are so many of them. Any book by Jeffrey Archer or Frederick Forsyth can be rated as the most ineresting. However, there's 1 book in particular called 'Not a Penny Less, Not a Penny More' by Jeffrey Archer that I found very interesting. The story's simple & yet so brilliant. I loved it. Cheers:)

The most interesting book I've ever read is 1984 by George Orwell. That book is a masterpiece of dystopian (antiutopian) type literature and a shocking version of world we can be someday.
