Life is an Adventure Journey that Full of Surprises

i have always wanted to write a novel, and i finally did it on my own and self-published it. my next step is drawing a graphic novel, which i am very slowly working on since i am trying to do 10 different things at the same time.

I was not much of a dreamer a child. My parents did not set false goals like being a professional like Doctor or Engineer in my head, and let me live my life. In short they allowed me to decide what I wanted to do with my life when I was old enough to make that decision. So my life is an adventure and taking life as I get it.

yeas life is full of both happy and unhappy surprises. i have dreams. lots of dreams but reality always seems to get in the way. i try to not make it bug me but it always seems to get in the way.

Hello irene!As to life,some say it like film,others say it like dream and still others say it like adventure.I hold that life is life and it does not like anything.everyday we have different experience. Yes i have a dream when i was a child.Then i didn't want to be scientist,a teacher or others.I just dreamed one day i could be learned enough to see clearly the world which we live in.And now i have grown up.Sometimes i think i have recognise the world,as i have learned almost every important thing of the world.But sometime, i am puzzled,for what is the world really is and i don't know.where do we human come from from the very beginning.This is another question that i can't answer.Even the best philosopher or scientist have no question.So i try to stop thinking about that. Although i enven can't face the jourey of my life,life is life.And if we can't change it,just enjoy your life.

Hi Irene, Im also like you who has a lot of dreams as child but had gone through a lot of dissapointments as get older. I used to think that I will always get what I wanted since my parents are really supportive. But there will really come a point in life wherein we think that everything we thought we know is actually a trap that would lead us to a lot of unexected circumstances. This would either make us stronger and hold to our dreams or give in to the temptation of just being like anybody else conforming to what the world tell us that we want but ending up frustated because we did not fight to hold on to our dreams.

hi, Dreaming is not me because I've had many of these dreams, but not for about a year now, although I don't know why as my life has been full of anxiety as usual, lol! Maybe I am 'facing up to it' better now then. Have you worked out what you could be running away from? I like the obviousness of dream interpretation, eg. I recently had a dream where I was on some kind of rollercoaster in a tunnel, and it stopped at a brick wall in front of me. I guess that means I feel 'up against the wall' about something, which is certainly true! Dreams of being chased can be really scary and I have woken up in a sweat and panic before - I hope you get over them soon.

I agree with you Irene that life is a journey filled with surprises. Life is a fabric in which the threads are woven to produce a fine work of art. The beauty is lost when one looks only at a single thread. I accept the things by which fate binds me. There are of course many chapters in my life that has been rough but what is the thrill in living without the colourful patches that paints our life. The chinese have a maxim that says, "The gem cannot be polished without friction, nor man perfected without trails." It seems that hardship is the necessary preparation for greatness.
