My 5 months old refused to eat and I tried everyday to feed her rice cereal and 1st foods but she keeps on making this gagging sounds till she throws up. She licks now and then but never the same with my 2 older ones who started eating at 4 months. My baby still prefers her formula with the rice cereal on it. My pedia said that different babies has different progress, as long as she is growing and graining weight, I will just keep on trying. What about you? At what age your babies starting eating solids? Thanks a lot...

I am not sure how old my daughter was before she started on solid foods. she is 17 years old now. It was a long time ago. I think when they are old enough to chew real good, they can have solid foods. Check with your physician first though.

My oldest was eating off a spoon at 3 months my youngest is 9 months and still doesn't eat off a spoon. He does the same thing your daughter is doing. To keep him full I have to mix the cereal in his bottle twice a day. The doctor said that as long as he is still gaining not to worry until he is a year. The only thing you can do is keep trying and make it very thin almost like soup until she gets used to that.

My daughter's pediatricians advised us to feed our daughter solid foods when she reached 6 months... because that is the time babies are most ready to eat a different kind of food... i experimented with different tastes... and bought her only those that she liked the most... and it actually worked...

My son was about six months when we started him on solids. Just keep at it. It takes babies a while to adjust to change. Have you tried smashed bananas?
