How can i sleep faster ?

Do you know a method to make me sleep faster ? i wanna go to sleep , and i wanna sleep faster . If i`m going to early to sleep , i`m just staying in my bed for hours , and i can`t sleep . I can sleep fast just if i`m too tired , but tomoroow i need to go to make some analisis and i need to be fresh and to have a good sleep . Do you know any method to sleep faster ?

Beside from medication the only thing that works for me is just relaxing and thinking of something comforting. When you think about something that worries you or makes you angry then its hard to go to sleep. You just end up tossing and turning. I would just try to relax. Play soothing music or whatever calms you.

Well....go to sleep after a cup of milk and then keep your mind set to sleep. You should not put all your worries in your heart like dustbin before going to sleep.Better think positively of pleasent memories of the day....i assure you a nice sleep....

I am agree with you archie. Worries are enemy of good sleep. So avoid to worry.

Basically you cant sleep easier becuase you have lots of thoughts running in your mind which disturbs ur sleep..to avoid thin king u can count 1 to 100 concentrating ur mind at the centre of ur forehead..as long as u feel sleepy.. or u can enchant any religious mantra..i.e Aum....or any other which ever god u believe in..Before go to bed have a bath with warm water and drink milk.. If you have any caring person around you who cares for you and ur career too u can ask them to massage ur legs or head for a while which helps a lot... All the best

Thanks for your advices . From all thouse, i think i need a long term relationship to sleep everytime with the same girl , and i hoep it will be easier to sleep . Until then , i think that i`ll take a hot bath before going to sleep , but sometimes i`m staying on mylot for a long time, and i just forget about the sleep, even i`m a little sleepy . I will drink something hot from now one too .

This discussion seems to have been started 1 day ago but you can try this for future.I also do have difficulty in this sphere and once a disuccion in this forum gave me an important tip.It said that we must learn to "retire" to bed--not keep working till the last minute /being engaged in some hectic activity [it can even be cleaning] till we go to bed.Instead , we should have a wash or slowly get ready for bed by listening to some musi c or reading a book.This would help your mind to stay away from your analysis, writing work etc and relax you.

Are You Planning Something Special For Tomorrow, Well If You Are Not I Don't See Why You Should Get A Good, Sound, Fast Sleep Today .. Sleep Does Take Place Because A Person's Body Needs Rest .. It Happens Automatically For Some, Some Have To Induce Sleep By Meditation Or Some Other Means .. I Would Suggest You Never To Indulge Your Mind In Thoughts When You Go To Sleep .. If You Are Calm And If No Thoughts Are Bothering You, I See No Reason Why You Don't Get Good Sleep Immediately As Soon As You Are In Bed ..

You could try taking a warm bath about an hour before you're ready to go to sleep. Maybe drinking some warm tea or hot chocolate. Seems I have more trouble going to sleep when something big is going to happen the next day and if I don't get my sleep, I end up not being about to enjoy the thing that I was all excited about. Maybe an herbal sleep aid? I don't know, I usually don't take any pills to go to sleep. Listening to fast, loud music, watching tv, smoking and exercising before you want to go to sleep tends to keep people awake all night long.

Well you have relax yourself and don't be too tense before sleep.Don't attach importance to sleep and just regard it as a common thing. If you think much of your seeping, your brain will become excited and you can't fall asleep soon. You might as well go to sleep at a fixed time of everyday.Developing a good habit of sleeping is not very hard. Your sleeping time shouldn't be too late or too early.At least it is dark enough before you go to sleep.Staying up too late is not a good habit. Before sleeping,you had best not do something excited,or you can't drop asleep so soon. At last,wish you have a good sleep every night!

I drink warm milk before sleeping and sometimes read books until my eyes get tired. or have a sweet, soothing music to play on the background while you are about to sleep invites drowsiness. Just avoid intake of coffee could not help you but it causes insomnia too..

What I usually do is tire myself by having light exercises, just to tense some muscles and have a warm bath... After that I'm really sleepy. It worked for me, so it might work for you too...
