What kind of vehicle do you drive?

It seems like I am always coming up with discussions that require people to think a lot. Things that are rather deep in a certain sense. Well, I decided that it was time to discuss something that you don't have to think a lot about. Let's talk about our cars. What kind of car do you drive? Do you like? Would you trade it in for something that gets better gas mileage? Me, I drive a 2003 Honda Civic, we bought it brand new in March of 2003 and I love my car. It gets pretty good gas mileage and it has been as dependable as can be. I believe I'll be driving it until the wheels fall off of it.

I actually do not have a car yet. However, my parents made a deal with me (personal) that if I withhold that deal then they will buy me a car. The caI want is the Infiniti G37 Coupe. We went to the dealership last week and finally decided that it was 100% that I was getting it. Now it's just a matter of signing it and getting all of the paper work and what not done. I have been driving for about 1 year and a half and have to say I am a pretty good driver, however the idiots out there on the road really do scare me. Some teenagers think that it is cool to speed and be guilty of committing traffic violations such as running stop signs and driving recklessly just to show off for their friends, or to the town. This is really rude and obnoxious because what if they are doing this and accidentally hit someone else while they are acting stupid? Then that person suffers, and if they get seriously injured it will also effect their family. Thats why I am nervous to drive, also the fact that people still get drunk and drive. In my opinion that is the worst thing to do because you are putting so many people at risk of getting seriously injured or killed in an accident. People are so nieve and think nothing will happen to them, when something most likely will happen. Nobody should ever get behind the wheel while drinking. People just don't think. I shouldn't be scared to drive, but I really sam because of these horrible, inconsiderate people that really are so rude. Police need to step up their efforts to catch drunk and reckless drivers so accidents and deaths could be prevented. If there are just some more cops around, then the roads would be so much safer! I just wish that nobody ever was to drive recklessly to show off. even if you are a very good driver, something can happen to you the one time you decide you are going to try speeding. The driving age should also be raised significantly, as at 17 when a ki first can get their license, their brain isin't fully developed. Take the bus to school, get a ride by an adult to work...So many more deaths would be prevented if teenagers didn't drive. It's really horrible. I am sorry I went on and on about this kind of off topic but it seemed like the right time to express my feelings in a very related discussion. I hop you drive with caution, and be aware of the other drivers out there that something can happen to you any second. Also always remember to wear your seatbelt and never speak or text using a cellphone. That another thing that teens do that don't even realize how deadly that can be. God bless you, and I really wish you the best of luck driving, as it can be more scary tan anyone may think it actually is. Just to add a last little side note, I hope that everyone that looks at this post really agrees with me about the dangers of teen a gers driving. Being a mature and responsible teen-ager myself, one of us needs to step up and tell the world that teen driving is wrong. not everyone] has to agree with me, but I guarantee you if the country decided not to let any person under the age of 21 drive a car for a week, there would be SO MANY less deaths accidents and injuries car related, that you wouldn't even imagine, then you will think about the post then agree with it! Happy mylotting! Remember to always be safe and use extreme caution while driving on the road. Never speed and if you find anything unsafe that another driver is doing, call local emergency response police!

Unfortunately, in my country its very difficult to afford a four wheeler vehicle. However, I do own a two wheeler which is my Honda Activa. I just love to drive it. Its just an awesome experience to drive it through the city roads. The cool breeze which blows through your body just makes me feel on top of the world. I just love my ride on my Activa.

Yes, that is actually true what you said. In countries like mine to own a car is a symbol of prestige. People in my country prefer to use public transport for their daily transport needs. Also the traffic conditions make it more convenient to use public transport than spending litres of fuel in personal vehicle. I suppose it is good to own a two wheeler in a conjested place where traffic is a common thing. So a two wheeler drive becomes very comfortable.

You've hit on one of the subjects that I find so interesting. Here in the United States, it is somewhat considered odd if you don't have a car while in other countries the reverse is true.

I drive 2004 Jeep Grand Cherokee Laredo. I love it so much. And it's great when the snow arrive, since it's 4 wheel drive. So far my car already clocked 77,000 miles. The thing only is really suck in gas. I would love to trade in with the newer model. When I did my oil change I kind of browsing the new Jeep, and actually already fell in love with the 2008 model. hahaha, who knows my hubby will get that one for me. trade my old one now, and come home with the one I saw.

Why is it that when we have our cars in for service we browse the newer cars and fall in love with them? I ask because when we went to get some parts for our car I told my husband that I wanted to just look at the new cars. I fell in love the the Honda Fit because it is still a small car but gets better gas mileage and has more interior space. I think that will probably be the next car that I get.

I drive a 2 door chevy cavalier. I've had a few cavaliers and have never had any problems. My next car will be a Kia Rio. We rented a car once and this car was perfect for me. It'll be a couple of years before I can get one though.

When I bought my first car in 1999, I wanted to get a Cavalier, but for some reason I wasn't able to get the loan approved on it. So I ended up with a Plymouth Neon at that time. I hated my car I would have so much rather had the Cavalier.

How funny is that! I bought my first car around 1996/1997. My choices were a cavalier and a neon. I went with the new Neon because I thought I'd have better luck with a new car. The Neon was a nightmare. I wished I went for the used cavalier. Boy did I learn my lesson.

I drive a 2007 Toyota Vios. It was my mom's graduation gift to me last 2007 when I graduated from college. I also love my car because of the fact that it was my mom's gift. I have no plans of trading it for a new one because I'm still satisfied with it so far.

What a great gift for your mother to have given to you. As long as your car is running well, there is really no reason to trade it in for a new one because you are driving for cheaper the longer that you drive the same vehicle.

my vios - this is the car that my mom gave me. 2007 Toyota Vios.
Yes, and I do appreciate it so much. Another reason why I won't trade it is because of its value. Not monetary but the value of my mom's generosity upon me.

I have a 98 4 cylinder Dodge Caravan that is coming up to 160K Miles on it. It is still working and needless to say it is paid for. It gets decent mileage but it has no pickup. Its shadow gets to most place long before it does. Sometimes it is actually dangerous to drive since it is 0 to 60 in about 30 minutes. I can't afford a new one...so I guess is no need to even think about it. But I now feel uncomfortable in cars. They are too close to the ground. My husband has a truck, at work I drive a suburban.

That's funny what you said about the shadow. When I was younger I would drive my mother's mini van some of the time and I know exactly what you mean about the no pickup. As far as the feeling uncomfortable in cars, I understand what you mean but in the reverse. I'm not really comfortable in a larger vehicle anymore since it has been about seven years since I've driven a truck or a van.

Wow, you drive a great vehicle! Honda Civic is a lovely piece and even I would love to own one. But I am not financially strong enough to own such an expensive vehicle. I drive Maruti800, an economical car which costs about one fourth of the cost of your car. But if I ever accumulate a lot of money, I would get a Honda CRV for me!

My car is great. It is the best vehicle that I've ever driven. And I believe that from here on out in my life our family will either be driving Hondas or Toyotas (my husbands car is a 1995 Toyota Paseo). Both of these cars really run like a dream and of course it is an added bonus that my husband is able to work on both of these makes of vehicles due to his experience when he was younger working at a Toyota shop.

I drive a 2007 Honda Element I got her brand new I was so in love with her for years before I got her...it was something about that car She has great mileage and she's a four cylinder so its like filling about a honda civic. Right now I am looking to be more sheek, and sporty I've been looking at the 2009 or 10 Mustange GT I love the new style and it has so much power... It's a Dodge Grand Caravan and I'm mostly pretty happy with it. If it holds up I'll be driving it for a lot more years. They are somewhat notorious for transmission problems but I have a fancy lifetime warranty on it, therefore I won't have transmission problems.

Those extended or lifetime warranties can certainly be a godsend. My old Neon had so many different problems and the only thing that kept me driving it as long as I did was the fact that I had the warranty on it. We had to replace both the engine and the transmission on it during the course of the warranty. Of course, I got out from under that car before the warranty period ended.

I drive a 1999 Ford Explorer. It is used and old but it is paid off and gets me where I am going. We actually just bought the SUV last year right before the gas prices went up which really sucked...the prices are back down to normal but we are still thinking about trading it in this winter and going back to a car. We bought the SUV for camping purposes thinking that it would give us more room to haul but it really hasn't so we figured why not go back to a smaller car and save a bit of money.

If trading in your Explorer is what you feel like you need to do, then go ahead and do it. But, you do need to think about whether the money that you will be saving will take a while to recoup. My car is paid off and the only reason that I don't want to trade it in other than the fact that it is so reliable is that it would cost us more per mile to drive a newer car than it does to drive our used car. We aren't paying a payment so we are only paying for insurance, gas and maintenance which adds up to only a small number of pennies per mile that we drive.

It is the best feeling in the world to not have a car payment. If I am lucky, I will never have a car payment again in my life. I'd like to be able to save the cash to go in and buy a car with cash the next time that we need a new vehicle.

Right now I drive a 2007 Chrysler Town & Country Minivan. Its not bad, but I never pictured myself a minivan person. It gets decent gas mileage. We got it because we were having our third child and 3 car seats don't fit well across the back of any vehicle. I wanted the Jeep Commander but the back seat practically sits on the floor and the only way to get into the back seat is to lean up the middle seat, which can be difficult when you are trying to haul 3 small children around. I would love to get a 4 door Jeep Wrangler once the kids are older.

I was just talking about stuffing three carseats into the back of my car. It isn't really a lot of fun, but I don't want to trade in my car on account of having to take my nieces places some of the time. I really would like to get a minivan or a crossover vehicle some time in the future because of the fact that they offer more space, but right now I am happy with my little car and the fact that it is dependable.

Oh to have a built in car seat, that would absolutely be a dream come true. There are many times that I am in my car and I have three car seats across the back of the car. I babysit my nieces occasionally and inevitably when I have them I have to run somewhere so I have to maneuver all three of them into the back of the car and wrestle with car seats too.
