Yup .. I know this information after read in blog. Having a cell phone means that you need to take good care of it, including its battery. You may think that cell phones are not dangerous, but there have been some reports on cell phone exploding and catching fire. Are you have tips to avoid this risk?? and I think we must be careful with our batteries.

Hi, Well, I heard about that explosions also. But that is..what? 0,0001% of all the mobile phones in the world? So, I am not worried... Worst things are for example the air conditioner. When not carefull, they can bring cancer...

:) 0,001 % must be also the percentage of two towers being hit by two plains... What I mean is that nothing is 100% safe or secure. Tomorrow I can be run over by a car. The importance of taking care of my moblie phone has the same percentage of taking care on looking to both sides of the street when crossing to see if a car comes... I hope you don´t get me wrong for my words. I know that you had good intentions on this discussion, it´s only that I think we should live life and not be so worried about little things;)

I only have a cell phone, and I have a friend that lives about a 1000 miles from me and she calls every day or I call her, as soon as I start talking the battery begins to heat up. It has done this from the start. They changed the battery out when I first got it. When I told the lady the other day that it is still getting hot, she said cells are made to only talk a minute or 2 on, not more than that. Well I guess she is right, they are for emergencies to call for help, but more and more people are getting rid of their land line phones and using only a cell. These batterys should be made so that you can talk longer on them.

Yes, even I have read about many such incidents. But the fact is, nothing in this world is 100% perfect and safe. One can even be harmed by things that one can never expect can be harmful in any way, say a soft toy. The best thing is to use the stuffs keeping in mind all the safety instructions. In case of cell phones, I think over charging or trying to charge an old disposable battery might result in such explosions. Its always good to follow safety instructions!

YEah, i have known about this a long time ago.. haha =D MOst of the time, it happens due to the cellphone being made by pirated parts.. haha =D As such, they are being sold cheaply in the market.. THus, one should always be aware when buying any cheap electronic products, but the price we have to pay in the end, might be our lives, just because of a few hundreds?? THat's not worth it

It is advisable to not speak over the cell phone while it is charging, as there is a chance that the battery will explode causing potential damage.

I can't post any messages just now, i don't know why and let me try again... I really see some reports for mobile phone explosion from our country, that's should be very bad news i have read, the investigate result shows the cell phone has something wrong with battery, and the owner use an alternative one not original one as his original battery can't be used again. so DON'T replace your batteries with alternative even it seems has good attribute.

That's true with any kind of batteries, not just cell phone batteries. I've heard of incidents where someone who was stranded on a side of highway opened the hood of the car & the car bettery exploded in their face. I've heard of laptop computer batteries catching fire. Rechargeable battery causing house fire. When using cell phones, paying atention to how hot the phone gets when in use might give some clue to how hot the battery is getting. Turning it off once in a while might help.

We have to be careful with imitation batteries, especially the cheaper ones. There is no quality control with their design or manufacture. Original batteries cost more, but they have been tested before mass production is carried out. Stick with the original if you want to be safe.

Well first of all, try to make sure that the news you watch is real. Because i c some kind of exploding cell phone is actually a hoax. But off course a few of them is true. To avoid the risk, first you must read the cell phone manual. There are many information about what you should do and what you should not do with the cell phone. And if you c the cell phone act strangly and out of the ordinary, it is better to bring the cell phone to the service center, so you can avoid any risk that your cell phone have.

As far as I know, only prevent to use the phone(make call) at the same time charging the battery or it may happen(xplode).
