How do you feel when you see your old pictures?

I have lots of photo albums at home. I have photographed all the events in my life. My mom used to have all the pictures when we were still babies and until elementary grade so im proud that my life story is indicated through those pictures. Whenever I look at them I always smiled and the old memories seem to be that fresh. I also feel sad when I look at my friends who were included in the pictures and weren’t seen for years now. I just hope we could meet each other even once in our lifetime again. How do you feel when you see your old pictures?

I love to look at my old pictures. Some of them I wonder, what my mom was thinking when she dressed me in certain ways and did my hair in certain ways. But we were all victims of fashion in the 80's. Mostly, they bring back enjoyable memories and are fun to look at.

in my album i titled it welcome to the Old Picture site, featuring an extensive collection of historical photographs. That collection includes pictures from the years 1980 to 2005. Those photographs seems like to span the globe, and present a unique view of our past. Keeping the old albums and looking back is a way of appreciation for vintage photographs. we laughed at the hair styles and dresses too. I can't imagine wearing them now.

I smile and think how life was so easier back then. I was young and did not have a care in the world. Just go to school and then come home and play. The pictures bring back great memories but sadness not knowing were your friend are or if your friend is still living.

I feel like going into the same time when I used to be a good kid and there were no responsibilities or works like the adults have. Sometimes I do feel sad and cry too as I want my childhood back, the great fun and excitement,I do miss all the things especially the evening times where many kids including me used to play games like cop=-thief and kit kut etc.

I get flooded with memories, and most of the time they are really good memories. My parents took tons of pictures of me from like a baby to five years old, and I remember how much fun I had because my brothers were still at home with me, my brothers are 8 and 12 years older so one was gone by the time i was 6, so looking back on the times when we were all together is really like nostalgic for me.

This is such a nice topic for discussion. Thanks! I get totally nostalgic when I see my old pictures. The fun times that we had. Gosh, it was such a great time. I wish I had never grown up. Don't we all! Just like you, I think of my old friends and wonder, what they might be up to in life now. I am still in touch with some of them. But life has taken most of them in other directions and I have no clue what they are up to. All in all, love going through those pictures!! :)

Aww *hugs*. I couldn't agree more. And Peter Pan resides in some of us more than other. Which I think is cool!!

I agree! I do get nostalgic too, when I see my old pictures. Some of my friends have migrated to other parts of the world, and seeing them in my old pics, I can't help but reminisce the times when we were still together. Yep, if only we wouldn't have grown up :D there will always be a Peter Pan in all of us :)

I don't really have much pictures, I guess I only have a few that I can consider from my childhood which isn't that much either. We have albums and albums, one for each sibling and I guess a few more from my parents and their siblings.. Even though that we can easily take pictures with our camera phones or digital cameras, I still don't get to gather a lot of pictures. Its becoming too convenient it seems that capturing some moments are taken for granted. I sometimes envy those who have the motivation to take pictures even on seemingly simple moments and when you get to view them, they become so special in a way. I like taking pictures, I won't deny that but, mostly at other things and I am not much in those pictures that I get to gather.

It motivates me to get back into shape! I used to be so skinny! It's a good little push to keep going to the gym and to do my sit-ups. Then I laugh because I look at my clothes and hair and realize how different the styles are.

I love going back looking at my old pictures. I love taking pictures of every little moment too. When I look back at picture form when I was a baby I get sad because with me was my older brother. Who is no longer with us. So I look back at all the good times we had together. And then from my life from 12 up its been a hot mess. And I look at pictures and for one I was looking darn cute with no kids. Living it up enjoying my life very much. Have had lot of friends come and go in and out of my life. Not to many boyfriends I was always in a serious relatioship. In a way it is depressing cause I wish I could go back in time and so it all over again. Escpecially to be with my brother again. But the cool thing about the internet is that I have been able to catch up with alot of old friends on facebook and myspace. Since I have lived in 3 different states. And get to catch up with older friends in the other states I lived in. But now I get to enjoy taking pictures of my life a mother of four and a wife. And years down the road from now I will be widhing I was where Im at now.

I love looking at old pictures. It reflects how a person has grown, matured, or changed over the years. I love reminiscing the events captured in photos, laugh or cry along with those whom I shared the experience with. I also get to thank God for all the blessings that He has showered me with all these years.

i feel bad when is see picutres of myself when i was younger because i was thin and had a nice shape and did not know it. i always thought i was fat because i am short and big chested so i saw something different in the mirror. now that i am overweight i realize i was really in good shape and looked really good. if i could have that back i would be really happy. i am working on it but as you get older it gets harder and harder to lose each pound.

I laugh everytime I see my old photos. Memories come back to me. I then feel sad and happy at the same time thinking about my friends and what I did when I was young.

If the picture was taken reasontly,I will feel nothing about it.But if it was taken when I was a child. It will reminds me of many things.I think it's mainly because we hardly can remember things which are happened in our childhood. But when we saw the picture, they will take us to these days.

hi flagella,it's completely up to you.the feeling you get while looking at your old photographs,is like nostalgia. So if you enjoyed your school days or your childhood friends company then may be you gonna cry.or if you come up with some fighting scene with them( just assuming,i hope you not) then again you miss those days becoz you were innocent. But looking at your college pics you may not get the same feeling as previous one but still the old pics are really precious if you have some feeling associated with them.
