I passed a house the other day that has a board outside facing the road, like a chalkboard. They change it every day and I used to drive by it daily. Now that I'm unemployed I don't see it much but last Thursday it said: Autumn is a second spring, with every leaf a flower. Isn't that beautiful? I love that way of looking at the season. Are there any slogans or sayings that you've seen lately that have made you smile or inspired you? Please share with us here, we need all the smiles and inspiration we can get!

Autumn really is a sort of spring. That is when the trees prepare the leaves for the spring season - no leaves without autumn.. I like the following thought from Dale Carnegie: One drop of honey collects more flies than a gallon of vinegar... And if we feel depressed, here is a good recipe - think of all the things we can be grateful for and plan to do something good for someone. If you want to smile, please check the story I am telling about my grandma..: http://www.mylot.com/w/discussions/2144370.aspx

Dale Carnagie was a very smart man! And that recipe for cheering up is encouraging as well as inspiring. It always feels good to do something for someone else.

The recipe about doing good to each other was from Dale Carnegie´s book "Stop Worrying - Start Living" - I bought that book in the 70s and have read in it now and then. Maybe it is available somewhere still, it would be great to have it in the original language..mine is translated to Swedish. He has another great book too, don´t know the exact title, but it was about how to get friends and influencing people..

That reminds me of a retired couple here in town. They sit on the front porch and wave at every passer-by. Eventually, they put a little smiley face sign out in the yard. You just can't help but smile every time you see them :). You can see them here: http://www.etruth.com/know/truthphotos/Photodetails.aspx?id=67270
