When you are experiencing difficulties, how do you try to cheer yourself? What do you do to overcome the difficulties of life? Do you believe in God?

Philippians 4:6-7 (Contemporary English Version) 6Don't worry about anything, but pray about everything. With thankful hearts offer up your prayers and requests to God. 7Then, because you belong to Christ Jesus, God will bless you with peace that no one can completely understand. And this peace will control the way you think and feel. This is how I deal with challenges: 1) For me prayer is the first recourse. I approach my Heavenly Father and let Him know what I am going through. I request wisdom and help in dealing with the situation. 2) I research for information that might help me to better understand the situation. The more I know, the more options to resolve the situation are available. 3) Go into action. Try one thing after another to resolve whatever is affecting me. 4) When I have done all that I can do, I now leave the challenge with God, knowing that He will help me endure whatever I am facing. What cannot be cured must be endured. 5) I keep in mind the hope ahead, that everything bad will pass. Bad things are temporary. One day life will beautiful and problem free. There will always be challenges but there will be no problems. Live long and prosper!

As much as possible, I do something that will turn my mind away from the pressing problem. The problems will not go away for sure but the mind can be relaxed and be able to see things more objectively and come up with a wise approach to handle the problem. After all most problems are just a matter of the mind. It is how we react to certain experiences. A problem for some may not be for others, depending on how they view and handle them. To some extent, they are attitudinal issues. Cheers!
