a very energetic baby

hi all! it has been a while since i have posted here. been a very busy new mom--balancing time with parenting, my homebased work, online work, and of course, being a wife--because that is not to be taken for granted. anyway, my baby is now 6.5 months old and is very energetic. she is very advanced in terms of mental abilities and also in physical strength. she is not chubby, but nonetheless cute. i would not call her behavior hyperactivity because there is a rather negative connotation to it. she is a good baby, because i can already talk her into doing or not doing something most of the time. however, when she starts to move around i find it very difficult to control her, especially when I am getting her dressed or changing her nappies when she pooed. as in! everytime she needs to be changed, somebody has to hold her down or entertain her as she would roll over and over. the problem is when she pooped because naturally the poop would be everywhere. lol but i thank God for my baby. she is such an adorable baby, smart, pretty, energetic. i just pray that i will have more energy and strength to catch up with her. how about you? do you have a baby the same age? take care all and God bless you! happy mylotting! :-)

Congratulations on your baby girl! I have a 4 year old daughter, with a second one on the way - this time a boy. If our son is as energetic as our daughter, I'm in trouble - hee hee!! Our daughter was very active! I'm not kidding that she had temper tamtrums from the very day she was born - hee hee!! Oh yes, I remember the diaper days . . . she just would not lay still . . . we had to learn how to get her dressed and change the diapers quickly because she was such a wiggly worm! And when she started to walk . . . she just took off! She actually did not walk "early" (it was at 14 months she walked independently), but soon enough she caught up and went beyond the boys her age in her gym class! And after she learned to run, it was hard to keep up with her . . . in fact, I'm still running - hee hee! You sound like you are enjoying motherhood and your lovely baby. So wonderful to hear!! Take care and continue to enjoy!!

I noticed that you have not been very active here since you gave birth (unlike before that I always read your nice discussions). Anyway, it's not easy to become a mom and learning how to balance your time will really help ease the load that you have right now. Proper balance of time will give you time to relax in the midst of very busy schedule. I'm sure you are more inspired now especially that you already have your bundle of joy who is almost seven months now. At her age, you can teach her many things which you will enjoy. If I remember right, my daughter at that age was also very energetic and she started recognizing colors and shapes which I taught her through games. My daughter who is turning four this December can already read "three-letter" words and some very simple "four-letter" word. She still not studying but she learned reading at home. Enjoy being a mom and I'm sure you will raise a very good kid.

Hi spoiled, welcome back to mylot! My kids are far from being babies. They're 9 and 12! Though, I guess no matter how old they get they'll always be my babies. Congratulations and happy mylotting!
