Natural Beauty, I mean physical beauty as exemplified by good sculptural art[or painting] is seen much less these days. Myself and my wife feel this way: whether it is among the acresses/actors or in the general public we see more made up looks ie, the beauticians or the plastic surgeons, or so and not the work of God?

What you say is quite true Gadhisunu. And while this is normally the expected thing of actors and actresses, now this feature of "painted faces" is quite common among the general public.THere are umpteen parlours available that thrive on the concept of"grooming".Probably a lot of importance is given to outward appearances in the workspot too. However, there are still people who do not depend on this and rely only on whatever beauty God has endowed them with.I guess, some people are hesitant in spending their hardearned money while others are afraid of possible allergic reactons to their faces. However, by and large, this is a popular concept these days and the "some " that I had mentioned are exceptions that prove the rule.

Initially one is taken in by the "illusion" of made up beauty. But as you have pointed out rightly sometimes it is a job compulsion also to paint/deck up-like the airhostesses for instance. I have read jokes about actressess being 'frightening' if seen devoid of their make-up. Also true is the rare rare, natural God-made beauty that strikes you like lightening. That is why one must see how person looks straight out of bed with just a natural face-wash. An hour later they are all decked up. Thanks for the response. The ethereal beauty of some actresses of yester years like a Madhubala, Padmini Ramachandran are less seen now. The other day I passed by in my car a woman who was standing mid-road waiting for the other hald of the traffic to clear. Clad decently in saree with just about no make up she looked so good. In such instances when I come across I usually Thank God for continuing to let this world be beautiful, and the woman for letting it be natural.

The actresses of yesteryears had classic features and relied on their acting skill and dialogue delivery. The current trend is to rely on a superb figure, good complexion ,excellent makeup and superior dancing skills.Times have changed and so have tastes.I still admire the old actresses in their movies and am a diehard fan of old movies especially in my regional language ,Tamil.

Dear Rajupa(u)l, I do agree that Plastic Surgeons doing a co-creator work are most welcome. Like when they correct those blemishes that otherwise would have brought down the self esteem of people, well in that way PS are gods. But God can never be matched, isn't it?
