Have you ever guessed someones age wrong and it embarassed them?

I Have been asked by some people to guess their age from time to time. I remember this older lady came up to me when I was younger and told me how old I thought she was. I was young so not thinking about hurting her feelings or embarassing the lady i told her she looked seventy. Which in my mind she looked pretty old. This actually offended the woman who asked me to guess her age. I really did think about what I said because I was so young and she asked me that kind of question. My mom over heard what I said and said I should have told her she looked fifty. I was only a kid at the time. Why would someone ask a young kid that anyway. Usually a kid will just guess a number like I did. I feel bad for saying such an old age to the lady. Looking at it now think it's a little comical in it's own way. Kids will say anything and I proved that.
