We're watching Dr. Zhivago. What an intense film! It was completed in 1965, and lost out to Sound of Music for best picture. Has anyone else watched this film recently?

Would you believe I FINALLY got around to watching it several months ago and it IS a wonderful film! You're right, it certainly is intense. I've always liked Julie Christie and this was her finest role, I think. Annie

This film is on my 'must be watched' list. Some other good movies I have seen are,The bridge across the river kwai, casablanca and shawshank redemption. A spanish movies called "Mar adentro" is slso very good. Its english version is called "the sea inside" . I must mention a recent hindi movie called "Taare Zameen Par" which means stars on earth. This film, in my opinion, is one the best hindi movies ever.

I actually have never seen it. It came out the year I was born. My mother used to talk about that movie all the time, about how sexy Yule Brennar was. I probably should watch it, it is suppossed to be a really good movie. How does it compare to today's standards? I should put it on my Netflix list and watch it. It is a classic after all.
