Do you think you really know yourself well?

There are times when I still surprise myself of what I'm capable of doing or thinking about. But most often, I feel I know myself pretty well. Though I'm not really sure what I am here for most of the time. What about you, can you really say you know yourself well? How about your partner, or family, do they really know who you are?

My wife now knows me well. she knows that i'm still awake during the night when everybody felt i was already asleep. She knows I have a problem by the way I acted. She knows that I'm telling her a lie if I'm not home early. But myself, not really. But I guess, when someone ask me right into my face if I really know me, I would lie and say "Yes, I do". But when that person is my wife, she can tell that I'm lying.

I've known myself ever since I was born. I grew up with me and I even went to the same schools as me. There was a time in my early twenties that I sort of lost touch with myself, but we made it through it. I think I know myself pretty well. However, there are still some things that surprise me about myself from time to time. Just recently something like that happened. All in all, I'd say I'm pretty in touch with who I am. But, let's face it, we never know for sure how we will react in every situation until we've been there. Even then we might shock ourselves once in a while. That's what makes life great! So, how well do YOU know yourself?

I definitely would like to think that I know myself. I might be wrong, but it's something that I'd like to think. Other than myself, I know that my husband knows me best. If I try to tell him a little white lie to be nice or something like that, he knows it right away.

Hi dear! I am still trying my best to find the answer to know about me and myself. You see more I think about it more I get confused..........LOL! Though, I am confident enough about my positive and negative traits and I know that there is always scope for improvement, till we are alive. I will have to ask my partner, how much she knows me. Though she says that we have been married for many years and she knows each and every trait/quality (read negative quality) of mine.... Nonetheless, my parents, my brother, who are my blood relatives know fully about me. Good post!

Hello laydee You know with this discussion I got to thinking about it. No I probably don't really know myself. I have that tendency to think and say that I can't do something. I probably could do those things if I just put my mind to it. I think I need to do some soul searching and find out who the real me really is. Great discussion and I will work on founding out who rosepedal is. Have a great day and keep smiling.

I recently found out I spend too much time on the computer. Then we had a problem with the computer one day and like I wanted to stop it. So I sat down for like about 30 minutes trying to find out what was happening. Then I finally figured what was doing it. It was like I was a computer wiz or something. It was an awsome feeling. xD
