Why are good men more likely to have daughters?

Hi, guys. Have you noticed that good men are more likely to have daughters instead of sons? I mean more likely, not certainly. You see, Mr. clinton, Mr. Bush and Mr. Obama all give good examples. In my life some very perfect girls' fathers are very capable and intelligent. Nowadays they are not so easy to find a perfect husband like their fathers. What a pity...
Long ago have I found that and doubted why. It may result in that, good men are so tired in struggling for their lifes and work that they have no more energy to maintain fragile Y Chromosome. What is your opinion?

Hi langleben, I'm not sure everyone would agree with you about Clinton, and more so Bush, being good men.

Hi, mipen. Thanks for your response. I just refer to some successful man. For those who they love and admire, they are good men. When struggling in the modern society, we sometimes have to hurt others to realize our dreams. The two's behaviors are just acceptable for me. Anyway they are good in their career path. Happy mylot!

What an interesting discussion, I have no idea if there have been any studies on this subject, but King Henry the 8th is the most famous Father with this problem and after he had been through enough wives to finally get a son the child was weak and sickly. Stress may have something to do with this but my own father had a son in part of the most stressful time in his life, the child was healthy and strong.
Bottom line here is I just don't know and really can't even guess.

This coencidence got real relevance to the fact you described, even in India Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru had a daughter called Indiragandhi who ruled India as Prime Minister. Daughters are Fathers pet and sons are mothers pets.

Hi Langleben. It is fascinating to think that good men are more likely to have daughters instead of sons. That is as lovely as what my friend thinks: a bay chooses his or her parents. I think Mother Nature is very clever making sure roughly that there is a 50% male and 50% female ratio. I think that x are strong but travel slowly and y are weak but travel very fast.

My husband is a good man then because he has only daughters. Joking aside, he is a good man. In my country of origin, we believed that a man who gets only daughters has been fooling around during his bachelor days. It is life's way of getting even for breaking a lot of girl's hearts. Thus, he will only get daughters, no sons. Sort of payback time.
