Can i edit a discussion i started?

I want to add some information to a discussion I started, how can I do this? Will mylot let me?

I think you can do that on comments that you give to others that provide discussion answers. Mostly if you want, do it on the first response, because people will tend to read the first responder comment and answer. There's no edit or delete button for discussions made, I don't think so..

Once posted, you can't edit or delete anything - discussions, responses or comments. Only MyLot admin are able to do that. As you say, the only way you can add information to a discussion is by adding comments to responses (if and when there are any). It happens to all of us occasionally that we post something without some essential information. It's actually a good learning curve. It (hopefully) teaches us to double-check what we write before posting! There is a 'Review' button but it's not very satisfactory because if you review stuff, you will find that you need to do the paragraph spacing all over again!

That's so true. I tend not to check what I write and then I noticed some mistakes and had to add comments and etc. But like you said, it's a good learning curve..

You cant edit a started discussion but now that I responded, you can add a comment to whatelse you wanted to say. That all I figured out that you can do.

I would not sure if they would make the exception for you, starrywonder. However it has not happen here before and I doubt they would let it happen. Perhaps you can just add on the comment somehow when someone else post on it.

There is no way we can delete discussions that we started. As we can see there is no delete or edit button there. I have several discussions deleted but by the admin due to some violations. LOL =)

No, you cannot edit or delete any discussion, response or comment once it's posted. There is a 'Preview' button which will allow you to see the post as it will look once posted. In my experience, though, very few people use it (and when you do, it screws up the spacing that we put between paragraphs). If you want to add information to a discussion, the only way is to post a comment to a response (that is, if you have any responses). It pays to think carefully before you hit the 'Post' button!

I think its a big No No No.... I have been trying also on how to edit a discussion i have created.. But until now i can't find a way.. Maybe its just not allowed.. Once already submitted and posted, it can never be edited..
