Some popular old beliefs that parents can predict the gender of their child even without the use of modern equipment: 1) Heart beat - the faster the heart beat of the baby on the womb then the most probable that its a girl. 2) Position of the baby in the womb - the lower the baby on the womb suggest that its a boy. The explanation is that boys are more independent than girls. 3) Weeding ring - hypnotism using the weeding ring (instead of other gadgets) will let the mother tell what gender her baby was. 4) Mothers prediction - educated mothers can predict the gender of their child 25% more accurate than an uneducated one. 5) Food cravings - those foods most likely associated with the feminine gender tends to end-up having a baby girl. For me, I taught that my first born is a girl due to myth #1 and #2, it turns out its not. but some of my friends taught otherwise. Do you think there is a truth in this myths?

I didn't have food cravings with my pregnancies with my first child or my second child. I had cravings for strawberries when I was pregnant with my third child. I thought my first child was a boy when I was pregnant with him and I was right. In my second pregnancy I had a go with the wedding ring prediction. I really really really wanted to know whether I was having a boy or a girl so I went to have a gender scan at 16 weeks pregnancy. They said male and I did have a boy so they were right. During my third pregnancy I noticed I lacked the line down my bump like I had during my other pregnancies. I had another go with the wedding ring predication. I had to have a 16 week scan with the fetal medicine expert so I asked if I was having a boy or a girl. He said female and it was confirmed at my 20 week and 22 week scans. She indeed a girl. Guessing and predicting is fun. I know two ladies who were told girl at their scans and they both had boys. So the only sure way to find out is when the baby is actually born.

guess is fun indeed. But when my daughter looks to her baby pictures not long ago. She had this question to me "Dad, why are most of my baby stuff are blue in color?". I just couldn't help but to laugh out loud before giving her an answer.

I dont totally belive it becouse, Whene I got pregnat with my daughter all my signs showed that I was going to have a boy. So no I dont totally belive it. the only thing that showed I was having a girl was weeding ring. The rest showed boy. But for some it might work. Happy Mylotting

Hi..I think,it just myths. You know maybe yes for some parents but I think,it just happenstance. It base on their expereience. There is way to know about baby's gender in womb/uterus by medical technic.Even with USG,sometimes,Docter could not see it.Sometimes, they have fault predictive.I believe medical way.USG at up 24 weeks pregnency,I knew my baby's gender.

well to make short,at the first conception we likely know whether it is a boy or girl.first ovulation happen after menstruation 6-8days.couple should check if his woman is regular so they will know when is her ovulation.first ovulation stronger for the xy chromosomes or boy.after 24 hours female dominance take on lead.the sperms usually live for 5 days inside the womb if the woman is fertile that is the time conception is happen.and if not there is no conception happen.i hope i answer your concern.

my sister tells me that knowing the gender of your baby through medical aid when it is still in your womb is not good for the baby.it will postpone its birth date.
