Does anyone know if it's freezable? I found some on mark down and since we don't eat alot of it at once if at all I don't want any extra to go to waste. Also how else would one serve it besides on crackers?

I've never frozen it before but don't see why you can't! My grandmother was Polish and she used to make me sandwiches, slice the Braunschweiger medium, sliced onion (to taste), On slice of bread, mayo, butter, add some lettuce that's it! I love these simple sandwiches. Sometimes I put mustard on it also! Enjoy! tdemex

I don't remember my grandmother doing much with it other than eating it a slice at a time here & there or hiding the medicine for the dog in it ;0) Never thought of making in into a sandwich.

I grew up eating Braunschweiger and liverwurst sandwiches. I guess that was my mom's way of getting us to eat meats we would have turned our noses up at. I also introduced my kids to peanut butter and miracle whip sandwiches. I've been told that's weird but I don't think it's any weirder than those fluffernutter sandwiches. LOL

http://www.cooks.com/rec/search/0,1-0,braunschweiger,FF.html I know my roomie and her mom ate some last Christmas I think it was, but while we ate liverwurst when I was growing up, braunschweiger wasn't on our plate - don't know why - my great grandmother was German...
