Hi Mylotters Have you ever had to pick up dog poop from other people's dogs on your lawn? I have had to do that more times than I can remember until one day I just got tired of it and now I find myself saying to them (in a nice way of course) can you pick that up pleas? Sometimes I can see them when I'm in the house and I come out side and ask if they could please pick up after their dog. I have even caught my neighbor across the street doing it he lets his dog go on other peoples lawns he never carries a scooper or bag I mean its beyond me why people feel they have the right to do that of course its not the dogs fault but its irritating especially when you just did spent hours doing yard work in the spring or summer and you have the grass cut and things are looking nice then you get this dog owner who just allows his/her pet to unload its bad enough the male dogs pee on your trees and bushes and your flowers my other neighbor across the street her flowers died because of male dogs peeing on them . Actually she really shouldn't have planted flowers so close to the end of her front lawn it was just inches from the side walk (not a good idea) Anyway I stopped being passive about it because I got tired of cleaning it up and decided that the next person I saw do it I was going to say something and I did. So what do you do in that situation do you let the owners know or do you just clean it up?

Yes we do carry a plastic bag when we walk the dogs. Alas I am also the crazy lady that yells at people who let their dogs Sh*t on my lawn and do not pick it up. I have also called the police on continuous offenders. I know this sounds extreme, but I think people should have respect for others property and that includes leaving poop everywhere. I have kids, we scoop our animals poop but how do I know these other animals don't have worms or other parasites that could infect my animals and children?

Hi Opinionatedlady You have a good point there. What if your dogs were to step in some other dogs feces on accident and carry those germs into your house (especially if those pet owners don't keep up with Vet visits and have their dogs vaccinated and checked for worms. That would tick me off if something like that were to happen

Yeah we had that happen with our puppies over the summer and I was fuming. The people whose dog had the worms spread them to almost the whole neighborhood and not only cat's and dogs but three kids (none of mine TG) got them as well. Angry was a nice way of putting it.

Personally I make sure my dog goes to the bathroom before we go on a walk. No bathroom = no walk. The dog knows if I put the leash on him he's not gonna get to go for a walkie unless he goes potty! I realize how frustrating this could be, and I highly suggest you ask your neighbor to stop this, and ask people to stop this! You do not have to put with this! It is your property, you paid for it, you spend the time keeping it nice, so you have the right to tell them to knock it off!

Hi Psufootball Wow you have your dog trained very well I don't know of any pet owners who have their dogs trained NOT to go when they go for a walk. I would think the urge would be overwhelming to the dogs but hey,if you got him trained that way its all good at least you know its not your dogs leaving their poop behind on someones lawn
