how do you treat your pets

what pet do you have? and how do you treat them. are they like family to you? I have shubunkins as pets. they are like gold fishes. they frequently ask for food. i really enjoy watching them sometimes. whenever i walk in to the room they greet me and follow my movement. to me, i think they understand that i will feed them whenever i come close to the aquarium.
