Does your partner look after you when you are ill with flu?

I have quite a flu this weekend and do nothing but sleep, drink and cough. When my husband is not well I always look after him, bringing him hot lemon juice and homemade soup. When I am not well, he stays as far away from me as he can from fear to catch the flu. So he is not happy when I use the house phone to tell him that I need some hot tea... Maybe that's just the difference between men and women - do you look after your partner if he is not well? And is the favour returned?

my boyfriend looks after me more when im ill than i do for him. since he drives he can easily pick up food for me and come vist me when im sick in bed or he'll even make me some soup. even when i have my period he willing to do anything to make me feel better. so i dont think there a difference between men and women. when hes sick he tryes to stay far away from my possible so i dont get sick lol

It's exactly the other way round in my relationship - you're lucky!

Well I suffer from chronic illness so he looks after me all the time. He makes my food and gets things for me. He's a star. When I get hit with a specific illness like a cold or the flu, he's not as good though! He panics that there's not much he can do to make me feel better and he gets really stressed. He's still a love though! I try to look after him when he's sick, but it doesn't happen very often at all and he's such a big baby when it does! He's a terrible kid!

You're lucky to have such a committed partner. And I guess most men are kids when they are ill - it's commonly called "man-flu" in the UK!
