I went to New Zealand when I was 29 years old and did much hiking there. I climbed up a mountain in Northland and got some spectacular views. I hiked two of the amazing walking tracks. I did the Abel Tasman route first. It was easy except for the river crossings that had to be done at low tide. I then did the demanding Queen Charlotte route and it was difficult in day 3. I had to hike over a high and narrow ridge way with sea both sides. I love going hiking but now my disabled son is too heavy to carry it is challenging for me to go hiking to places that I can't push him and my baby girl in their double buggy.

Yes, New Zealand is a very beautiful country to visit. I has some of the best hiking tracks in the world. The views from the mountain were stunning and I had to go down the experienced climbers only route. That was steep and really exciting.

Well, I already experience hiking and it is on my home places as my home is located on upper ground like a flat hills on the top, so before you could reach it you have to hike from the main roads to come to my house. Starting from the upper grounds you could see many variety of flowers and different kinds of fruit bearing trees then on the tops you could hear many birds singing, lots of butterflies too, different animals of all sorts and so on. My entire hiking experience happen with my classmates when we do our field trip in Mt.Apo one of the highest mountain located in Davao City so the experience is very exhausting for a first time traveler like me but once you reach at the top of the mountain all the tiredness disappear as you see from the upper top the lower view and one could see the vast expanses of all beauty of natures. It is a great sights standing still and marvel on the beautiful sceneries.

I love to hike regularly. Yesterday was a perfect day in Saratoga, California, cool, but not cold, warm, but not hot. A great fall day, crisp clean air. We came across some beautiful dew dropped spider webs, shining in the sunlight. We saw a newt crossing a leaf strewn, wooded trail. We discovered a rattlesnake resting under a plank in the chaparral, along with several fence lizards nearby. There is nothing quite like the quietness of a redwood forest, with nothing but squirrels and birds providing the soundtrack. It is a great escape from the pace of the city.

My first experience for hiking was in 2002 when we had the Youth Congress participated by almost 200 youth delegates from different provinces here in our country. The theme is focused appreciating nature and protecting our environment. It was a three-camp and fun-filled activities that include hiking, rapeling, cleaning, and sessions on first aid and means to preserve mother nature. I had the chance to see nice spots like cave, enjoy the beach, the chirping of birds, and other "forest-related sounds". This was also my first experience of camp out-- where i slept on the tent along the seashore. I enjoyed the activity and hope i can experience it again and this time with my family!

hello amyson,i hike one or two times every year, the fall is coming,it is a good time to clime the mountain in this season. my memorable and exciting hiking experience was in 2003 when i was in college,i joined with about 80 classmates to climb a famous mountain called The South Mountain.we started climb the mountain from noon and spent 6 six hours to arrive at the waist of the mountain.after had a rest in the hotel located in the waist of the mountain,we got up on AM 4:00 and started climbing again,we wanted to see the sunrise, but it was raining all the morning, when we climbed to the top of the mountain, it was 9'clock,intead of sunrise,we got a wonderful view of a sea of clouds,it was really very beautiful now i still remembered it.

I do a lot of hiking, as I live close to the White Mountains, and there are plenty of trails and even a few mountains where I live.
