Pocket Veto

In recent days I have been reminded that some people have made a conscious rejection of Jesus as the divine Son of God. They are outspoken in their denunciation of the claims of Scripture. They delight in ridicule of those who embrace and promote the message of Scripture. But some decisions are made passively. You can, by your idleness, decide against some activity, in much the same way a president or governor uses a pocket veto. To have not decided to accept Jesus as the Son of God is, in effect, to have decided not to accept Him. Failure to accept the risen Christ is the same as rejection of Him. Fence sitters are not acceptable to God. Lukewarm middle-of-the-roaders will be spewed out of His mouth. If you are wavering back and forth, take a step toward God while He can still be found. God told Isaiah that it would not always be so. Matthew 12:30 “He who is not with Me is against Me; and he who does not gather with Me scatters.”

the answer is found in Romans 2:12-16. And that question is the reason we are bound to tell all folks everywhere.
